Our guide will be waiting by the marble fountain in Giraldo Square. He will identify himself as the Évora Cultural Experience guide and will call the name of the person who made the reservation. The guide will wait a maximum of 30 minutes for any delay, which will be deducted from the total time.

informative tour - we enjoyed our tour of Evora highlights with Paulo. he was very informative and provided a wealth of information on history and architecture.

Great Tour of Evora! - We had a wonderful three hour walking tour of Evora with Joao ('John"). The morning that our tour was scheduled there was torrential rain- i wondered if it would be cancelled- but no- our guide showed up right on time and off we went. Luckily the rain stopped toward the beginning of the tour. Our tour guide grew up in the area and is a grad student at the university there. Joao was so very knowledgeable about the history of the city , Portugal , and each of the landmarks that we visited- we learned so much and saw many sites . It was very fun and interesting. He had stories about each landmark that are not the usual things you might read in books. He tailored our tour to sites that he thought would interest us based on our background. It was probably the best walking tour we had during our time in Portugal. Would highly recommend this tour guide and company!

A wonderful tour of Evora. - Elsa was wonderful. She's an excellent tour guide. We had her as a private tour guide. Her wealth of knowledge as a historian gives the history of Evora in depth.

Evora is worth the trip from Lisbon - Taking a bus out to Evora from Lisbon to meet a local guide is well worth the trip. We had such fun and learned a lot. We could have spent more time in Evora but hey...go, go, go!!!

Thank you for an amazing experience! - Our guide Joao was incredible! He knew so much about the history of the city and he presented it in an interesting and engaging fashion. A city like Evora has such a long history but Joao was able to give us an overview that gave us a better understanding of Evora and Portugal itself. We would recommend anyone visiting Evora to start their visit with Joao’s tour.

Absolute must when visiting Alentejo region! - Évora is a beautiful city rich in history and culture but we would have missed all of it without our guide, João. He really made the city come alive and did an amazing job at tailoring the tour to our interests. I would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get João please tell him we said óla!

Don’t miss this tour - Joao was an extraordinary guide. His own knowledge as a lifelong Evora resident and history scholar (currently working on a PhD) was abundant. He was patient, kind, ridiculously fluent in English and had the answers to every question we asked. He went out of his way to show us the old Jewish quarter when we expressed interest in it and gave of himself above and beyond. We take tours like this often when we travel and this was a 10/10.

Wonderful guided tour! - We did a guide tour with guide Elza who demonstrated extensive knowledge in the history of Évora and before starting the tour was very concerned about knowing our points of interest, we left very satisfied with everything we heard and her sympathy made all the difference. We will recommend to friends.

Save your money, and avoid this "tour." - The tour was offered at 6:30 PM. What the tour provider failed to note was that all of the sites along the route were closed by that time, so nothing was available to see except building exteriors and the Roman ruins (described by our host as "not that important"). We would have been far better off simply taking a walking tour on our own earlier in the day, using a guide book. Save your money, and avoid this "tour."
