A really fun experience - My friend and I hiked with the huskies, enjoyed the falconry talk and had afternoon tea.
It was a very enjoyable day out. The husky hike was the highlight. They require two people per dog, as they are so strong, and it was a good long (and muddy!) walk but great fun. There were four in our group - two dogs - and a friendly and informative guide. It's an energetic walk, but very enjoyable and I highly recommend it.
The falconry display was interesting and informative, and the afternoon tea was fully as expected - a nice assortment of sandwiches, cakes, and a scone with clotted cream and jam.
The staff were universally friendly, helpful, and just plain nice.
Highly recommended!

Owl and meerkats at eagle heights - Spent the 1st hour with Neil for our owl experience. We were introduced to 3 different owls, Neil was great, explaining everything to know about these amazing birds. He was very knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable.
We also did a meerkat experience where you get to spend an hour with 3 meerkats. It was great as it is very hands on with them climbing and running all over you, you get a chance to feed them as-well.
Although a small sanctuary, it offers some unique experiences which we thought was well worth the visit and would recommend it and the experiences to everyone.

Great little family outing! - This was a really lovely day out. Just right for a family outing. We went for the ghost trail. The site is not huge and sprawling, which was great for me as walking can be a difficulty. The weather was great. My son wanted to get involved with all the animals.
The birds of prey show was a special highlight included in the admission. The good working relationships between them handlers was evident. The personalities of the birds too. Definitely an experience worth having.
We'll definitely go again.

A great experience - Booked for the Eagle experience. Got there nice and early to have a look around and watch the birds of prey display. The display was great with the birds flying through the crowd and also running around on foot. A brief safety chat and we started our experience. We had around 20 minutes with each bird(depending on how many people on the experience) with a total of 3 and finishing with Skye the largest Eagle at the Sanctuary. The staff are friendly and polite and the cafe girls are a good laugh. A lovely afternoon and will be back to try another experience.. thank you and keep up the good work.....

Amazing husky experience! - The husky experience today was really fun and the staff were all so friendly and kind. Our husky tour guide was very cheerful and informative about the dogs. The bird show was very good and it was great to see all the different birds flying around and their back-stories. The food in the cafe was also lovely. I don’t have a bad thing to say about Eagle Heights, it is a wonderful place to visit and the experiences are a great value for money. I will definitely be back in the future! 😊🐕

Fabulous and fun Eagle Heights with afternoon tea - What a lovely little place to visit!
I had an afternoon tea experience as a gift and our day was superb.
Lovely staff and afternoon tea was delicious (thank you Mad M for being a fabulous and funny waitress and host).
The boys working with the birds were so good - very knowledgeable and a great presentation and flying display. Made it interesting and informative and fun too. The birds are clearly loved and well looked after.
Highly recommend for a lovely day out - please visit and donate to support this special little non profile organisation.
Thank you!

Beautiful Husky Hike & GF Cream tea - Fabulous time at eagle heights for the husky experience. I arranged to have a husky hike in the morning and gluten free cream tea in the afternoon.
The husky experience was really educational and learning that they are so much happier outside was very interesting. Beautiful animals and friendly, knowledgeable keepers. Was surprised at how strong the doggos are and loved it.
The bird talk was also inspiring and it was lovely to see Archie being trained in falconry, keeping the legacy of eagle heights alive- it made me want to learn.
Great gluten free tea complete with sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and scones.
For management to consider:
Lack of real coffee if you can’t have dairy milks.
We were twenty minutes early and it was cold- coming in early felt like we were intruding and not wanted there until the ‘proper time.´It could create the wrong impression as the staff are really lovely and accommodating. Would be nice to be able to wait in the tea room.
Thanks for a lovely time. Highly Recommend.

Hidden Gem. - Booked a Meerkat Feeding experience, a present from our daughter. Easy to find. Greeted on arrival, shown into reception, then guided to the Meerkats by Rogan, a very pleasant and knowledgeable young lady, who went over the safety and hygiene procedures. Fed the Meerkats, a delightful experience spending time with these cuties. They are very well socialised and came upon our laps instantly. They are very well cared for too. Rogan kept us engaged and we learnt a lot. After the experience we watched the falconry display, very entertaining and unusually saw a Maribu Stork. This lasted about an hour, well worth watching. There are rescue huskies, alpacas and other species to view aswell. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem and to book an experience,

Amazing "Meet the Husky experience" - My daughter loves dogs so we purchased a "Meet the Huskies" experience as a Christmas gift for her. Centre was a bit tricky to find but once there we had a wonderful time. Had time to look around the incredible birds of prey and particularly loved the Meerkats (full of character!) and enjoyed some lunch in the cafe before the experience. The time we had with the Huskies was super informative and the 2 guides were full of knowledge and facts about them. Lots of cuddles and laughter as they all had bags of personality! Thank you so much for a brilliant day - we will definitely return having bought a Meerkat experience for her birthday :-)
