• 720 Old Murphy Dome Rd - Experience the thrill of mushing on a tag sled, which is a sled connected to the back of the main sled in dog mushing. This setup allows you to practice steering and maintaining balance without the responsibility of controlling the dog team. Accompanied by your guide and the Alaskan Huskies from our race kennel, you’ll embark on a couple of hours of adventure. Whether with Iditarod and Yukon Quest mushers or our outdoor guides, you’re in for an exciting journey. The tag sled accommodates two people, so you can switch places with your partner halfway if there are more participants.

Capture memorable moments with the dogs and enjoy the tranquility of Alaska while forming a bond with the dogs. Learn to use the brake and lean into turns on occasionally challenging trails. Feel the power of the dogs, secure the sled, and assist in slowing down the team when descending hills.

The tour begins at 10 am in our dog yard with an introduction and concludes around 2 pm with a warm beverage and cookies in our cozy yurt. Gain valuable insights into the art of mushing, and perhaps develop a taste for longer trips on your own sled with the skills you’ve acquired.

Whether standing on the runners or sitting in the sled, you’ll feel like a true part of the team. You’ll need to control your own sled by braking, leaning, and navigating corners. Learn the art of mushing with guidance from your expert guide. The second sled can accommodate two adults and one child.
