• Castner Glacier - After preparing at the trailhead, step onto the glacier and start the hike, covering about a mile across the ice to reach the cave.
• Castner Glacier Ice Cave - Enter the glacier and explore the Ice Cave. Enjoy time to take photos of the luminous ice formations and have a snack amidst the frozen beauty.
• Delta Junction - Make a quick stop for restrooms and snacks. This is also the last junction for the famous AlCan highway, where you can learn about its history and significance.
• North Pole - Look out for Santa Claus’ year-round residence, where elves are busy preparing for Christmas! Enjoy the festive decorations, candy cane streetlights, and possibly catch a glimpse of Santa’s workshop as you pass by.
• Fairbanks - Relax and enjoy the final views of Alaska’s breathtaking landscapes. Return to the starting point, with convenient drop-offs at your hotel or the original meeting location.

Join us for an unforgettable adventure as we take you into an ice cave nestled within one of Alaska’s renowned glaciers! The journey begins with a drive from Fairbanks, where you’ll pass through open tundra, spotting herds of caribou and viewing the Trans-Alaskan pipeline. Upon reaching the glacier area, you’ll be equipped with snowshoes or ice cleats for your boots, ready for a guided 1.5-mile hike to the Ice Cave!

During the excursion, you’ll learn about the history of Alaska’s glaciers, the principles of Leave No Trace, and much more as we set out to explore an ice cave that everyone can walk inside! This is sure to be an adventure you’ll want to share with friends and family.
