It consists of two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfall. It was designated as a Protected Area in 1989 to protect the area’s biological, geological and cultural resources. The Protected Area covers 1759 km2 in the southern part of El-Fayoum. The waterfalls are one of the best known attractions in Wadi El- Rayan Protected Area. The area conserves large expanses of desert containing a variety of landscapes and formations. Rare and fascinating wild life is found in the desert of Wadi El- Rayan along with fossils of creatures of past epochs and cultural heritage sites from ancient civilizations.

Traveler woman alone, slept in the desert. - I slept in the desert in a very rustic, beautiful space with a beautiful view of the desert rocks. I felt safe and tried amazing food.

A brilliant desert trip! - This tour to Wadi al Hitan and Wadi al Rayan was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone.
Ayman is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who will take care of you the whole day.
The drive to Wadi al Hitan to see the whale fossils was filled with extraordinary views and was great fun.
The traditional Egyptian food provided at the White Desert camp after the trip to both wadis was very tasty and of fantastic quality.
A very memorable day trip!

Desert experience - Fayoum and Siwa an amazing discovery and experiences. Peaceful and beautiful places. Egypt has secret places to protect.

A great family day out - Great, we loved it!
Our guide Sarah was very kind, attentive and very professional.

Mind blowing - What a awesome experience driving in the desert getting to see the valley of the wales with all it’s history very informative the views from the mountain tops was incredible as far as the eye could see was just amazing

Exciting trip to the Valley of the Wales - We had an amazing trip to the Valley of the Whales. Our guide, Amn, was extremely experienced and helped us not only understand the history of the site, but modern Egyptian culture as well. We especially enjoyed our trip across the desert going up and down large sand dunes, like a wild roller coaster ride, but very safe . The Valley of the Whales itself was magical. The museum is presented very well and one can walk in among the fossils of the whales still in situ in most places. The quiet of the desert was a wonder. I highly highly recommend this terrific trip. It’s worth every penny.

An Amazing Experience!! - An amazing experience! Mahmoud was a very courteous and friendly and a sensational tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about Egyptian history. We took a lovely drive to the Wadi El Rayan park and on arrival to the camp, we were welcomed with some lovely tea and met by the very kind and friendly owner. We were then taken in a 4x4 jeep to see all of the sights. The driver was so kind and so much fun. It's such a stunning place to visit. Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch at the camp, the food was excellent and everyone was so kind. I had the best day and would highly recommend that everyone take this tour, it's awesome!! Truly a 5 star experience, not to be missed!!

Luxury Tours Egypt Rockzz!! - The views were amazing, especially during night time where we were lucky to see a shooting star. Good arrangements done by our guide.
Very well organised team where they knew the perfect places for sightseeing of magic Lake and other places. Credit good to Aya and Mohammad team from Luxury tours Egypt. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
