Must do! And the pickup from San Juan hotel was great for those without a rental car. - Easy pickup and great communication up front. It’s about an hour and a half drive to the area. Such a cool experience and the guides were delightful and so informative. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic tour! - Came to Puerto Rico to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday and seeing a bioluminescent bay was #1 on our to do list. This tour was fantastic! The guides were helpful and friendly. We were a little anxious about the kayaking since we hadn’t done it in years but it was fine. Would highly recommend this tour!

Experienced guides led us... - Experienced guides led us through the channel to the lagoon. We were able to store our backpack with dry clothes at launch site.

Fun night kayaking - Very fun trip. Kayaking was wonderful going through the mangrove forest. The bioluminescents were sparkling like Tinkerbell's sparkles. I wish the new landing buildings included larger restrooms. Only three stalls for ladies and one was out of order. Long lines to use only the woman's restrooms. Need changing stalls.

Bio Bay kayaking was a success - Overall this was a good experience. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the bio bay and we end up seeing a lot of bioluminescent activity. The guides were very good about teaching us about the ecology of the area but not as good at the actual guiding. The trip back down the canal in the dark could have been better facilitated. We never saw one of the guides nor could we see who we were supposed to be following. As a result we hit a few trees and it just kind of detracted from an otherwise great experience. The transportation to and from San Juan was well organized and the company overall was good to work with.

Fun time - The experience was fun. The only down side was how many people are out there and we went on a Tuesday. The lake was beautiful and the bioluminescent is really cool, especially in the dark of the canopy on the way back.

Save your money. - Kayaking out to the bay was fun. Then you sit and relax for the sun to go down. What I didn’t expect is for them to hook all the boats together and then you put a tarp over your head. I’m pretty sure they use the tarp every time because we were there on one of the darkest nights of the year but because of the buildings near by with lights on you have to have more darkness. Because all the boats were hooked together you had to keep pushing the boat beside you away so you could splash the water to see the glow. As you are pushing it away someone else in the row is pushing it towards you. Fingers were smashed in the process! Not a pleasant time. The best time of the whole trip was going back thru the mangroves in darkness. Thats when I could experience the glow more. I wish they would let us stop in the mangroves and splash the water but they don’t, they make you keep moving. That we be a better spot to exploit because it much darker there. It was a cool experience but I would say it really wasn’t worth the money. It looks nothing like the beautiful pictures online.

bad business - Our instructions stated that we were to phone these people to receive pick-up instructions. We called 6-7 times before and after we arrived in San Juan. No answer. At first their message said their mailbox was full, and later a message with similar meaning in Spanish. They sent us a link to sign a waiver 5-6 times. The link didn't work. We responded to their e-mail stating " 1. Their link doesn't work. 2. their phone number to schedule pick-up doesn't work. I expect better. My phone number is...". After that we did get through by phone and arranged pick-up. The morning of our tour we received an e-mail stating our tour was canceled because they didn't like the term "I expect better". No tour, no recourse. I find their response childish and arrogant. What a bunch of prima donnas.

Not worth the time or money! - First, I wanna say that the pick up at our hotel and the entire transportation was flawless. Smooth and easy without any issues. The experience itself was lacking to say the least. You could not see any bioluminescence. The crew put a tarp over us to block out the moon light and you still really couldn’t see anything. Apparently the best times to do this are in the summertime, the months of June, July and August. It would have been nice to know that February isn’t a good time. Total waste of money and time. Would not recommend it unless you’re in the summer months.
