Super cool and magical experience - This was really unique! How fun that all these people gather at night to jump in kayaks and follow each other thru the mangroves in the dark. Loved the journey and the education. Laser pointers were neat. Holding glowing jellyfish was very unexpected. It was all very magical.

Unique nightly adventure - Fun, entertaining, informative! Awesome guides. Worth it. Loved the jellyfish. Enjoyed the nightly escapade. Kayaking through the lagoon between the mangroves was a first for us. Eco Adventures made it memorable.

It was not easy to kayak... - It was not easy to kayak all the way to Laguna Grande (we have little experience in kayaking) but the view of the shiny bioluminescent organisms worth all the hard work.

Good but not great - Check-in and prep were pretty smooth, as well as getting into the Kayaks initially. We did have a later start than anticipated, I assume they were avoiding congestion from other groups. The "tour" itself was pretty underwhelming, as the tour guide leading us seemed to have very low "enthusiasm" and was taking super low. We were the first kayak in the line and i could barely hear him, i had to ask my wife (who was in the front part of the Kayak) to repeat what he said to me. The few items that I thought were a bit interesting I would then relay backwards in a loud way for others to be able to hear it. The bay had barely any bioluminescence (not under Eco Adventures control), so they provided a tarp to cover ourselves to see it. This was a disaster. While other companies provide individual tarps per kayak and guide you through the experience, Eco Adventures provided one big tarp that required passing it along through a bunch of Kayakers, some of which were not paying any attention and causing issues, and provided very little guidance along the way. At some point he started talking about some things with part of the group, and 5 minutes later we realize he was showing things in his phone but had not told the group to remove the tarp, so more than half of the group was not seeing what he was talking about. We've done this tour with other companies before and had a much better experience in terms of the tour guide enthusiasm and actual "guiding". All that said, we had fun and got to go through the mangroves and bio bay in a safe way.

First booking with this... - First booking with this viator site is more expensive than the actual place. Second, the 6:00 pm tour is horrible. We were only on the water just about an hour when its advertised as a 2 hour tour. At no time was there a mention of putting black tarps over our kayaks in a bunch. At no time was it mentioned that we would not see anything unless we were completely in dark with no clouds.

Chaotic and Disappointing - Overall, the trip was very chaotic and disappointing. Too many people in the group as well as too many tour companies running at the same time. No one was keeping things moving smoothly. You had kayaks bumping into each other, paddles from other boats in ours, people going into the mangroves and tour guides just sitting there not keeping people organized. Then you had returning boats full of people running right up the middle. Sadly, this made for an expensive and very disappointing experience.
