Great experience and thrilling - Julio was a great guide. As we had a small group, we were able to go further up the river and to a more challenging and thrilling slide/cliff jump spot! Def don’t recommend this for anyone with lower body ailments or the elderly, it’s a challenging rock scramble

Natural beauty to see and experience - Amazing place to see, highly recommend a guide, we had an excellent one who told us a little history about the rain forest plus it's a tough trek to climb at places and he was a big help

The stream that sings... - This experience is for the adventure seeker, not sightseeing. I would not recommend for those with limited/constrained mobility or children under 10 that don't have an adventurous mind. It was muddy, strenuous, and at times physically and mentally challenging. We were driven the one hour to the forest by Fernando, a jovial and timely fellow who provided a pickup location and cellphone. When we arrived we were introduced to Julio and Raffi who guided us through a mud soaked, slippery trail with knowledge of local flora, fauna and wildlife. Your shoes...they will be soaked and muddy, don't worry it will wash off when you rope swing, slide down natural waterfalls, and cliff jump. Here's my caution, if you make the commitment to climb there are only two ways down. Jumping/sliding or climbing back down which is more treacherous than the way up and honestly, not an option with others climbing up the skinny bouldering paths. Lifejackets and helmets were not provided by all tours but were a welcome requirement from this provider. We returned to parking area via same muddy slippery trails. On the return, we cared less about preserving our shoes and walked straight through the mud puddles because Julio and Raffi were truly looking out for our best interest when they suggest the most stable footing is through the middle of the trenches. Be prepared to slip and slide, but embrace the adventure. We were greeted two hours after starting our trek by Fernando, with a hose for our muddy bodies, water, and some snacks. Most of us couldn't believe what we just did. We questioned if we would sign up had we known the physical activity and mental challenge involved, but we all agreed it was worth it! "It may be that when we no longer know which way to go that we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings"-Wendell Berry

Excellent and Memorable trip!! - My honest reflection is that this experience was absolutely memorable and undoubtedly the highlight of our whole Puerto Rico trip. Julio, our guide, was uniquely knowledgeable and passionate about explaining the various, unique aspects of the rainforest. He encouraged my kids to try the intense activities like cliff and rope diving while also patiently helping my husband and I with intermediate activities. He took many pictures for us and made great, comfortable conversation from the get go. Ultimately, his youthful energy and passion really made our experience highly enjoyable.

Rope swings, natural slides and waterfalls - This was such a cool way to experience El Yunque. The waterfalls, cliff jumps, natural slides and the rope swing were all awesome. Some of the hiking was a bit challenging, but the hike wasn’t as long as I expected and the guides didn’t push people beyond their comfort levels.
There were 3 water spots on our tour (one of the 3 guides stopped at each of the 3 spots for those who didn’t want to go farther). The first is easiest to hike to and had a really cool rope swing into a deep natural pool. The second and third spots had the natural slides + a waterfall that we swam under + several opportunities to cliff jump. The second and third spots weren’t too much further but required climbing over some larger boulders.
This was a very memorable experience. It was a long way from our hotel but wound up being worth the drive.

Tired but fun and memorable experience - Our guide Julio was awesome. We learned so much and he was very patient. He even gave us an excellent drink and taco suggestion.
The terrain was a bit unexpected but we made it through safe and sound. It was a bucket list event to check off and a very memorable experience.

Good hike - This was a fun hike! Definitely a little challenging. Make sure you wear the right shoes because it gets slippery. My favorite part was the rope jump and water slides. Our guide was knowledgeable and help us all through the hike.

Not as described - Not as described, very difficult terrain to navigate If you’re not physically fit. Description doesn’t give you an accurate Description of what to really expect. You’ll be slipping and sliding all through mud, climbing up muddy dangerous hills, and crossing a very slippery and kind of dangerous river . People in my group fell at least five or more times. It takes almost an hour and a half to two hours to actually get the water part of the excursion. All in all excursion was just OK I personally would not do it again, but our tour guide was knowledgeable and very helpful.
