Excellent catamaran adventure - wonderful - Both of us had a very good time. It was my second time snorkeling, my girlfriend had snorkeled before. The platforms off the back of the catamaran were ideal for getting in and out of the water. We went to a reef area and snorkeled, then went to Flamenco beach. Lunch and open bar was very nice. I think we snorkeled for about 1hr and 20min, you could snorkel longer but you would miss your lunch. The entire crew was friendly and helpful, they wanted everyone to have a great time. At the reef saw mostly smaller fish, but I did see a few larger ones. I can't say what they all were. I saw some bright blue ones, some black and white striped ones. Can't remember how to describe the others I saw. I didn't see any turtles this time. the reefs did have some life attached to them but I didn't really know what to look for. The catamaran was fast to get you there and back, so you could enjoy the most time possible on location. We were fortunate and had very good weather sun with some clouds and maybe 75-80. First part of March. The marina area where we meet, is gated and they check everyone to make sure there on a list. In side the gated marina area you park a few blocks away from the dock area where you meet, so allow time to walk. Once you are inside the gated area there is a small grab and go about halfway from the parking lot, and East Island has a small shop next to where you meet that has some food/drinks. They also sell merchandise, I bought a prescription pair of googles/snorkel (worked great). Not a large shop but they have a little bit of most things for the excursion.

100% worth the money - East Island Excursions does a great job with the entire process, from customer service to food and drink, to snorkeling. We were notified the day before our trip that seas were expected to be choppy, we might not be able to go all the way to Culebra, and the snorkeling probably wouldn't be as good. They gave us the opportunity to postpone or cancel, but we wanted to do it anyway and I'm so glad we did! On the day of our trip, Captain Arturo made the decision that we would go to Vieques, which was a beautiful alternative. Arturo and his crew (Conrado, David, Adrian, Geraldo, and 2 others sorry I can't remember your names!) did a fantastic job of providing fun music, beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic), food, as well as leading us to a great spot for snorkeling. We snorkeled, swam, walked on the beach, hung out on the boat, ate lunch, and generally had a great time in a beautiful spot on a lovely day. We saw a sea turtle, ray, barracuda, puffer fish, schools of fish, and various types of coral. Amazing! When we were swimming by the ship, a crew member was always nearby to grab us a drink or help with anything. They had the perfect balance of safety, fun, and customer service. Overall a great experience, the highlight of our PR vacation, and would definitely do again. Definitely worth the money. It's hard to believe that Culebra could be any nicer than Vieques. Tips: bring a rash guard if you are fair skinned, as it's hard to apply sunblock often enough to avoid a burn on your shoulders and back, bring flip-flops that can get completely wet, drink lots of water during the day to stay hydrated.

The weather was not the... - The weather was not the best that day and it was indeed an choppy ride, but the crew was fantastic. It's amazing to find the water was warm for us to happily snorkeling and swimming in even during Christmas time. My 8 years old had a great time in the water!

This was such an amazing... - This was such an amazing experience. I did get sea sick, as well as some of my friends but the crew had our backs and were very attentive, ensuring we were taken care of every step of the way. The water was very choppy the day we went so we did not get to snorkel, but the crew still provided the equipment in case some of us wanted to try once we got to the island. The water was beautiful, the lunch was great, and the vibes were good! I loved it! Shout out to the captain for making me feel special on my bday!

Worth the trip - Great crew and trip. Fun location. It’s a bit of a long (1hr) boat ride to the island but great once you get there.
