Best trekking around Kathmandu - We (couple 60+) are not used to hiking but we were able to finish the walk within 4-5 hours including 3 short breaks. The tempo was adjusted to our personal needs. Trail was partly difficult, going up and down with steep paths and thousands of steps. Shishar, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the place, hiking and the mountains. We were pretty exhausted but happy and enjoying the good views during the hike and from the cable car platform. On this Saturday many locals were on second half of the trail enjoying the clear air and the nature. Cost for the tour are more on high end!

Best hike in Kathmandu area - Difficult but amazing hike. I never saw so many stairs in my life but when I thought on the effort, it took to build the stairs at high elevation, with heavy stones that were chiseled over 100 years ago, it didn’t seem seem so hard to pull my body up. Our guide, Shishir, was amazing. Shout out to him for his patience and experience.

Shishir is the best - SHISHIR was my tour guide for this trip and I was already warned that this was going to be a tough hike. I wanted to challenge myself to a long 5 hrs hike and I wad mentally prepped for this. Physically, I was not since my stomach was not 100 percent. Anyhow Shishir greeted me at the hotel lobby prompt on time. We got on the cable car with such a gorgeous view of the mountain to start this trip. He offered to take many photos. He gave me the tour around the temple on top of the Chiandrigiri and explained the history about the temple. There was a little tiny zipline and I showed an interest of ziplining. He was so flexible to offer a time to zipline but I declined. We started our hike and it was great. For me, not tough nor easy. It was exactly what I needed that day. We had 2 dogs that started a hike and finished the hike with us. Shishir is such a peaceful warrior and who needs chatty guide in 4 hrs hike (for me, it was 4 hrs). I would have been exhausted if it was not Shishir as I am a quiet person inside. Shishir kept up and was right behind .e so I felt very secure and safe. He offered to take breaks here and there. He offers to take photos. He is a very kind person who is so mellow. He was perfect for me and i can only speak for myself. If I come back to kathmandu and I had a day to do nothing, I would do this again for peace of my mind. I highly recommend this hike for those who are semi useful to hiking.

Great day hike experience - Great day hike with our chill tour guide. Parts of the hike were quite difficult with steep hills and steps. Amazing views despite some haziness.

A Great One-Day Hike - Shishir is a very friendly guide and we had a great time. The route led to many great views of the valley. However it was quite long and steep at certain points so it might not be for everyone.

A great day hike and temple visit - Soem our guide was excellent. He took us up the cable car to the Chandragiri temple. He explained in detail the history of the temple and a lot of the history of both the Hindu and Buddhist religions. The trek was more difficult than we expected but worthwhile doing if you are fit enough. There were a lot of hills (including a lot of steps) to negotiate and the trek would be best suited to a person with a moderate to high level of fitness. Soem ensured our safety by staying with us and not rushing us. I would also like to recommend our driver Sunil who was a good driver and was very courteous.

Incredible trekking experience! - One of my favorite activities from my trip to Kathmandu. From the moment that we were picked up at our hotel Shishir made sure that all of our needs were met. We didn't have cash and forgot to bring waters to the hike, so he made sure to stop at a nearby ATM and also purchased waters for us. When they hike began Shishir pointed out every important landmark and was very thorough at explaining each mountain range seen from afar. He is very knowledgeable about the Kathmandu Valley. The hike was gorgeous. Pictures truly do not give it justice. This is something that every person visiting Kathmandu should experience for themselves During the hike we mentioned to Shishir that we wanted to purchase some souvenirs before leaving Kathmandu . He then offered to take us to Thamel where we found local shops that gave us incredible deals. Shishir was the best guide during our stay in Kathmandu.

Beautiful day of trekking with the best guide - The absolute best day and best guide of my entire time in Kathmandu. We spent 5 hours walking and relaxing on of the most beautiful trails of the entire Kathmandu valley. A must-do for anyone looking to explore outside the city.

Good guide but poorly described - The guide was great but the activity was not well described. It was an extremely difficult hike. You need to include cumulative elevation gains and total distance in your description to let people know how hard this was. I was able to do only a portion of the hike and that was very challenging in and of itself. Instead of a full day hike, we finished around 2 pm. My guide was very accommodating but this was relatively easy because I was the only person participating. If there had been a group of experienced trekkers I would have been in trouble, and I can’t imagine what the solution would have been. This would not have been a safe situation. My guide made the limited experience enjoyable but I don’t think it was worth the $140 I paid.
