The hike is not too easy,... - The hike is not too easy, but no problem if you are fit. The views from the top of the hills are amazing and I could even see some peaks of the Himalayas. The guide was very friendly and we had a good time with interesting conversations. Definitly recommend, if you are looking for a one day trip in Kathmandu valley.

Great escape from the hustle bustle of Kathmandu! - If you need a break from the hustle bustle of Kathmandu this is a great option! The hike is challenging as there is a lot of up- but the many, many stairs make it easier! I missed some of the views as it was cloudy, rainy and windy but that didn’t matter as my guide Shishir was a great and provided lots of information along the way. Be prepared for a great long walk and enjoy the tranquil forest outside Kathmandu!

Good views, pleasant hike - Really enjoyed the day. It's a cable car trip up into the hills with some lovely views over Kathmandu and the Himalayas. The hike takes most of the day, quite a lot of it is downhill, but there are some tough uphill bits. Anyone with an average fitness level should be fine. Guide is a lovely chap Recommended

Stunning nature and scenery - I really enjoyed my time with Shishir, and recommend him highly to anyone wanting to explore Nepal. This day trip was a perfect introduction to hiking in Nepal, with stunning nature and scenery. The hike was challenging but not unmanageable — even though I’m in my mid 50s and a complete novice to hiking. I really appreciated how Shishir related historical facts, pointed out interesting animals and plants, and answered all my questions, but didn’t distract from the serene experience with idle small talk.

Arround Kathmandu's nature - I had a very nice experience in nature during this trekking trip. My guide Shasan was very nice and took care of not going too fast and answered all my questions along. The lunch was tasty and our driver drove safely and patiently. I also enjoyed the cable car tour upwards.

Wonderful hike above Katmandu! - This was a wonderful experience! I needed a day of difficult hiking to keep in shape for a trip to Mt. Kailash and I got that in spades. June in Katmandu is quite hot and a bit hazy, bring lots of water and don't be surprised if you can't see Everest. The actual hike was 7 1/2 miles with lots of steps up and down through beautiful forest. My guide was kind, patient, funny and well versed in the history and cultural aspects of where we were. Highly recommended tour.

Best trekking around Kathmandu - We (couple 60+) are not used to hiking but we were able to finish the walk within 4-5 hours including 3 short breaks. The tempo was adjusted to our personal needs. Trail was partly difficult, going up and down with steep paths and thousands of steps. Shishar, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the place, hiking and the mountains. We were pretty exhausted but happy and enjoying the good views during the hike and from the cable car platform. On this Saturday many locals were on second half of the trail enjoying the clear air and the nature. Cost for the tour are more on high end!

Best hike in Kathmandu area - Difficult but amazing hike. I never saw so many stairs in my life but when I thought on the effort, it took to build the stairs at high elevation, with heavy stones that were chiseled over 100 years ago, it didn’t seem seem so hard to pull my body up. Our guide, Shishir, was amazing. Shout out to him for his patience and experience.

Shishir is the best - SHISHIR was my tour guide for this trip and I was already warned that this was going to be a tough hike. I wanted to challenge myself to a long 5 hrs hike and I wad mentally prepped for this. Physically, I was not since my stomach was not 100 percent. Anyhow Shishir greeted me at the hotel lobby prompt on time. We got on the cable car with such a gorgeous view of the mountain to start this trip. He offered to take many photos. He gave me the tour around the temple on top of the Chiandrigiri and explained the history about the temple. There was a little tiny zipline and I showed an interest of ziplining. He was so flexible to offer a time to zipline but I declined. We started our hike and it was great. For me, not tough nor easy. It was exactly what I needed that day. We had 2 dogs that started a hike and finished the hike with us. Shishir is such a peaceful warrior and who needs chatty guide in 4 hrs hike (for me, it was 4 hrs). I would have been exhausted if it was not Shishir as I am a quiet person inside. Shishir kept up and was right behind .e so I felt very secure and safe. He offered to take breaks here and there. He offers to take photos. He is a very kind person who is so mellow. He was perfect for me and i can only speak for myself. If I come back to kathmandu and I had a day to do nothing, I would do this again for peace of my mind. I highly recommend this hike for those who are semi useful to hiking.
