Setting Sail on the East Coast

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I made my way to Mandraki Harbour, the starting point for the Lindos Village Cruise. The promise of a day filled with relaxation and exploration along the east coast of Rhodes was too tempting to resist. As someone who thrives on the ocean’s embrace, the idea of cruising through the Mediterranean’s azure waters was a siren call I couldn’t ignore.

The boat set off promptly at 9 AM, and I found myself a cozy spot on deck, ready to soak up the sun and the salty breeze. The journey began with a leisurely cruise past stunning beaches, hidden coves, and picturesque headlands. The rhythmic lapping of the waves against the hull was a soothing soundtrack, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace wash over me.

By midday, we arrived in Lindos, a charming village that seemed to be frozen in time. With 2.5 hours to explore, I set off to wander through its narrow, winding alleys. The whitewashed buildings, adorned with vibrant bougainvillea, created a postcard-perfect scene that was impossible to resist capturing.

I stumbled upon a quaint rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the village and the Acropolis of Lindos perched majestically above. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch, savoring the local flavors while basking in the warm Greek sun.

After lunch, I continued my exploration, visiting the ancient ruins and browsing through the local shops for unique souvenirs. The blend of classical and medieval architecture was captivating, and I found myself lost in the history and charm of this enchanting village.

A Relaxing Return

As the afternoon sun began its descent, it was time to head back to the boat for our return journey. The gentle ride back was punctuated by a stop at Tsambika Beach, where we had another opportunity to swim in the Mediterranean’s inviting waters.

Floating on my back, I gazed up at the clear blue sky, feeling utterly content. The day’s adventures had been a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the beauty of Rhodes’ east coast.
