Thrilling! - This was so much fun! It was me and my 7 girlfriends.. we had a ride there and back to our hotel safely .. I would say to bring a cash tip because the boat members are so nice and they keep you safe, they review everything with you and keep it super interesting night swimming was 1000% worth it.

Glowing in the lagoon - This was such a cool and amazing experience. The boat captain was very cool and knowledgeable. He made the tour fun and informative. The lagoon was warm and so beautiful when you move. It was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced.

Great with the bonus of the sunset - Our cruise included the sunset which was a bonus with very entertaining crew. Due to the rain the bioluminescence was not dramatic but we still enjoyed swimming in the more subdued colour.

Not what I thought it would be. - It rained buckets the day before. It was a full moon the day we went to the Lagoon. Maybe this impacted the less than overwhelming luminescent. If the photographer takes your photo, it will appear a little luminescent, but to the naked eye, you are basically not seeing a darn thing. I would have thought the boat would have made luminescence, but it did not. Also it took the arm movement and great photo to show what you see in these pictures. It was NOT what I thought it would be. The muck under your feet is horrifying, lol but that is the environment for this awesome to grow (salt/fresh water mix). Again, great it's cheap for a trip, but pretty underwhelming.

Nothing to see - There was really nothing to see, we were the last boat to go out and the first to come back in. All of the other passengers on the other boats had great pictures. So get on the first two boats going out.

It's a joke right? - Booked this as a large group and travelled 2.5 hours from Negril to experience this.
Arrived early and some of the party had food and others just a drink while we waited for dark to fall.
Once it was time to go we were herded onto tiny boats. There were way too many people on the boat as you could not move.
We then sailed out for about 5 minutes while the captain gave us some details about the lagoon and area.
Those that wanted to swim got out and did so for about 5 minutes. In they got thrashing around to activate the water. And de nada, zero, nil zilch nothing happened.
Despite the staff on the boat enthustically trying to convince you that it lights up.
Then the best bit is when you got back and they want 50 dollars for pictures that look like you're swimming in the Thames.
We paid a lot of money for this. Not worth the drive or the expense.

Not worth the money, very much overrated - First of all the staff are very unfriendly. Can you send a favour and don’t ask them for anything. If you have tickets in your hand for this trip, you still need to provide confirmation email that you actually purchased it yourself and didn’t steal the tickets from someone.? Which I find very weird. Thankfully for my tour guide we got away without having to show confirmation as we did not bring our cell phones with us on this excursion because we were going in water. They offer a complimentary drink. But the drink is smaller than a child’s glass and probably has approximately teaspoon of alcohol in it. They give you a number and tell you wait for your number to be called to get on the boat. But they don’t follow that everyone just lines up and gets on the boat. We told the sturgeon last 45 minutes. The boat ride was five minutes to get to the lagoon in five minutes to get back from the lagoon and they let us swim in the water for five minutes long enough to take our picture so that they can make money from us..
