Your travel through history commences at Salamis, a city that dates back to the classical era. Wander through its olden streets, desolate temples, and the semi-reconstructed amphitheatre. A visit to the Monastery of St Barnabas will let you appreciate the intriguing icon museum within.
Post lunch, prepare for the eerie view of Varosha - frozen in time for decades. This one-time bustling beach destination has remained untouched post the Turkish incursion over 40 years ago. Before re-routing to the south, you’ll investigate Famagusta, under the guidance of an expert who’ll point out landmarks such as a Venetian fortress and a Gothic church that has been converted into a mosque.
