Make your way to the eastern shores of Cyprus, stopping at the historical Port Famagusta. Next, we travel to a gorgeous beach adorned with golden sands and the vibrant blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, where you can enjoy some free time to swim and relax. As we leave Famagusta behind, we set course for the ancient municipality of Salamis.
Legend has it that the establishment of Salamis was by Teucer, a figure highlighted in Homer’s Iliad. In its prime, Salamis boasted the title of being the largest city on the island of Cyprus. As we journey on, we’ll take in the scenic view of the infamous “ghost town” - known as ‘Varosha’, a no-go zone rooted in some of Cyprus’ noteworthy historical occurrences.
