A surreal experience steeped in history with an element of relaxation on a magnificent beach. - What an amazing trip, highly recommend. Hayley our guide was amazing and so knowledgable on all things Famagusta and Varosha. Clive the driver was so friendly and welcoming. If you are visiting Cyprus this trip is a must.

Great organized excursion to Famagusta/Varosha - The trip was well organized, we were the first to be picked up and the last to be brought back home. The tour guide (Maria) explained great, all times were observed and the food at the last stop (Beach Varosha) was inexpensive and delicious. So we can recommend the trip without restriction and thank Maria, the bus driver (whose name I don’t get at the moment) and the Turkish tour guide (whose name I don’t remember anymore).

Perfect trip in all aspects - We took this trip from Protaras, our driver was Clive and we sat on the top deck as guaranteed in the leaflet, even though we were skeptical this would be possible and this gave us great views on the journey. They seem to only take as many bookings to fit people on the top deck we later realised. We were given information about Varosha on the way by Hayley our guide, but not constantly bombarded with dialogue like on some trips so we were happy with this. When we arrived at Varosha we were given a map which had places to see marked on it and we had 2 hours to roam free around the town. It was fascinating, so sad and eerie to see the derelict buildings. You could hire bikes to cycle around or a golf buggy to be driven around but we just walked. Our map told us how long it took to walk from 1 place to another so we could guage our time, which was very useful. We could have gone in the sea but we didnt have time. On the way back we were taken past the residential part of Varosha which had been abandoned and yet the other side of the street was occupied. Very bizarre. The trip in all was was around 5 hours with travel time and we were dropped off at 2.30pm, which still gave us time to sunbathe afterwards.

A must do excursion - Really interesting trip to Famagusta and the ghost town of Varosha. Maria, our guide, was excellent, as was the driver. Everything ran on time and it was very informative, particularly about the island’s history. You get the option to pre-order lunch. For 8 euros, we had fish and chips. This included a small beer and use of a sunbed. Very tasty and ready when we arrived at the restaurant. For an extra 20 euros there is an optional speedboat trip along the coast. Great day out.

Varosha Experience - Such an informative trip with great tour guides that offered so much information, both on route and back again. Great to understand the history behind the sad state of a once beautiful resort. Highly Recommended

Interesting visit - The bus driver and guide were really sweet and helpful. Overall the tour was really interesting, but the story of Varosha is such a sad story. Such an important place to visit.

Disappointing about the Red Bus Tour - Cannot really comment on this . because we did book a Red Bus. Tour while we were in Cypress but couldn’t go to the tour because the Red Bus operator rejected our Passports being Australian. It was only an Island tour , cannot understand why we needed the passport anyway, we did enter the country with our Australian Passports. We were very disappointed and beware of the same happening to you Australians taking the Red Bus adventure in Cyprus.
