Into the Heart of the Desert

The journey began with a long drive from the bustling city of Cairo to the serene Bahariya Oasis. As someone who has trekked through some of the most remote places on Earth, the anticipation of venturing into the unknown was exhilarating. The drive, though lengthy, was a perfect prelude to the adventure that awaited. Upon arrival, the oasis offered a tranquil respite, a chance to recharge before the real thrill began.

Our Bedouin guides, Hazem and Zizu, were the epitome of desert wisdom. Hazem, with his 24 years of experience, navigated the 4x4 with a deftness that only comes from a lifetime spent in the desert. The excitement was palpable as we set off into the vast expanse of the Black Desert, the volcanic mounds rising like ancient sentinels against the horizon. The stark beauty of the landscape was a reminder of nature’s raw power and the thrill of exploring its untouched corners.

A Night Under the Stars

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the desert transformed into a canvas of shadows and light.
