Experience the Benagil Cave on a 9” paddle board. You can sit and paddle, paddle on your knees (recommended), or, for those with experience, paddle standing up.
As entry to the sandy area of the cave is restricted, remain in front of the grotto for 5 minutes before allowing other visitors their turn. Capture photos and videos from the water here, in accordance with the new regulations set by the authorities.
- Praia da Marinha - Enjoy approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to explore and unwind with sunbathing or swimming at Praia da Marinha, recognized as one of the world’s 40 most beautiful beaches by the Michelin guide. A parasol is provided for every two people.

Looking for a morning adventure on a Paddle Board? Leaving Faro, we head towards Benagil where we propose a fantastic sea experience on a 9” Paddle Board visiting the Benagil Cave and surrounding cliffs.
Benagil Cave is a 16-million-year-old rock formation accessible by sea, located in a nature reserve. We’ll go on a 9-inch paddle board, a simple and fun way to discover the most majestic limestone cave in the Algarve enjoying the morning light when the sun gently lightens the rocks. Helmet is mandatory
With this scenario photos and videos are simply amazing! As of 10th august, due to the imposition of the maritime authorities, it will not be possible to go down to the sandy area inside the Benagil Cave, but you will be able to enter the cave on your paddle board only in the water, to take photos and videos.
After this, we head towards Marina Beach to enjoy some free time and relax. Marinha Beach is one of the 40 most beautiful beaches in the world listed in the Michelin Guide.
- Physical strength to paddle and carry the board.
- Minumum age is 15 years old
- Knowing how to swim is mandatory
- If the weather is good for the beach, bring flip-flops, a swimsuit and a towel.
- Bring a rucksack with water and light food (e.g. sandwiches and fruit).
- Don’t bring valuable items, jewellery or watches, as they can easily get lost.
