Great time on the water - The tide was high which meant that there would not be as many birds. So, they lengthened the tour to take us out farther and we got to see everything we had hoped. No extra cost!
The guide, Carlos, was excellent and very knowledgeable. They even provided binoculars. It was an amazing experience.

Birdwatching on the Ria Formosa - Wonderful birdwatching tpur with Diogo. We went out on a cloudy windy day and were not hopeful at first to see many birds. The boat was modern and comfortable. Diogo had extra binoculars for us. He was so knowledgeable and we ended up seeing many species of birds including spoonbills, storks and osprey. Highly recommend this trip to learn more about the Ria Formosa and the wildlife that inhabits it.

Great tour to explore the... - Great tour to explore the Ria Formosa natural park, we really enjoyed it! Miguel is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, and he gave a lot of interesting information not only about the birds, but also general introduction about the area

Fun and Educational - We really enjoyed our trip with Formosamar around the Ilha Deserta in Ria Formosa.
While a little pricey at €40, the guided tour was very interesting and we saw lots of birds!
The guide Miguel was very friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable, he speaks many languages and is enthusiastic about the wildlife and sights in the area.

What a great experience and guide! - We enjoyed (8 yr old son, husband and I) the bird watching guided tour of the Rio Formosa lagoon. We were lucky that the tide was higher that day which allowed us to approach the salt pans where the flamingos were located. We saw spoonbills, plovers, terns, cormorants and osprey as well. Our guide, Pedro , was patient, friendly and informative.

Thank you for an amazing trip Paulo - Firstly, Paulo, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic and really made the experience special. He was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. The boat was nice, new and comfortable. The supplied binoculars were a good brand and worked very well. We were actually out for closer to 1hr20mins. Would recommend and we would do it again when visiting Portugal again

Great trip - We saw wagtails!!! It was a very challenging day to be out on the water and our guide handeled it like a champ! We saw a lot of birds.

Definitely you should participate! - I like our guide Pedro and his enthusiasm to show us as many as possible species, content of the excursion, boat was very comfortable, also binoculars were good. We met 13 different species (some i have been watched first in my life). We were also lucky to see babies of kentish plovers. As a professional biologist i enjoyed much the excursion. I gave 4/5 points only because the excursion was at the high tide and the excursion description did not say that the number of species depends on this.
