- Tejeda - The next destination is Tejeda, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of Gran Canaria, approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. It is almost at the island’s center and is a member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain. Surrounded by mountains, the village features stunning whitewashed houses of traditional architecture. It offers views of Roque Bentayga and, from certain spots, Roque Nublo, one of the world’s largest natural crags. This volcanic rock, rising eighty meters above its base and 1,813 meters above sea level, holds special significance for the islanders. Once a place of worship for the aborigines, the area was declared a protected natural site in 1987 and a rural park seven years later. This landscape is part of the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Valleseco - Savor the local cuisine in Valleseco, where a delightful lunch will be served. The restaurant, offering stunning views of the neighboring municipality of Teror and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has been welcoming guests since 1960. Operated by a family dedicated to showcasing the best of Canarian cuisine, it provides a wonderful dining experience with scenic vistas.
- Teror - The final stop is Teror, located in the interior of Gran Canaria. Its old town is one of the island’s most beautiful. In Teror, you can explore the historic center, featuring its iconic pedestrian streets, the Basilica, and the Plaza del Pino. While in Teror, admire the exterior of the Basilica del Pino, situated in the town’s main square, Plaza del Pino. The church is surrounded by pedestrian streets and charming Canarian houses with traditional balconies. The village’s cobbled streets and pedestrian areas make it a delightful place to explore on foot, with many houses featuring Canarian balconies throughout the center.
