All good: Guide and audio. - Accurate meetup (Google Maps). Great guide to get us in and intro Cistern. Good audio guide. Go your own pace, so no rush. Will recommend.

Informative tour to a stunningly beautiful Roman masterpiece. - Our guide Ibrahim was excellent, informative and with a very dry sense of humour. We learnt a lot about the history in a very short time with him.

Highly recommend the... - Highly recommend the Basicilia tour. The lines do get long so skipping ahead is worth it. There is history information before you are free to roam the center

Very nice place, quick walk. - The cistern of the basilica (Yerebatan Saray) is next to the Aya Sofia Mosque, the place is beautiful and the walk is quick, about 30 minutes, after you can meet the other mosques nearby there. I bought the ticket here on the TripAdvisor website. Buy tickets in advance so you don’t get in line.

Go to the Front of the Line! - What you are paying for here is to be able to skip the line. After he facilitated our “Skip-The-Line” entry, he guide gave us an informative yet brief background on the Basilica Cistern and then turned us loose to explore at our leisure. This is a 30 minute attraction, tops. If you do a little research before the tour you will know exactly what to look for and its significance.

A stunning site marred by poor guiding. - The Basilica Cistern itself was stunning. BUT the tour itself was poor. Other than skipping the line, there is no value to this tour. We were 5 minutes late for our scheduled 11AM tour and they left without us. Istanbul E-Pass staff told us we could go on to the 12 noon tour. The guide was 30 minutes late and was unapologetic at first insisting the tour was at 12:30. Then he realised it was January 8 and indeed the tour was for 12 noon. And he expressed surprise that we all waited for him. Ah, duh??!! Apart from this, the information provided was shallow, basic, and nothing you cannot Google in 5 minutes. You are better off taking the audio guide which I am sure contained very interesting information on the Cistern.

Disappointed - We showed up at the stated destination 20 minutes early. As we waited, 5 more people showed up. We waited patiently and no one showed. We called to see where the guide was, as we had all paid for a guided tour. We were told the tour took off with 19 people already. We found this hard to believe to believe. We were offered tickets to attend without a guide, with no compensation. We were also told that we could return at 2 p.m for a guided tour. We returned at 1.45 p.m. for the guided tour. I called to confirm that someone would be there. Sure enough, they showed up. This means that we were in the right place and the excuse given regarding the 12 p.m. tour was BS. The guide was nice and spent 10 minutes explaining the cistern and then we were on our own. I would recommend that you not deal with this company and that if you do see this site, which is quite amazing that you not bother with a guide.

Not good value for money - We thought this was a guided tour. The guide basically led us to the Cisterns, talked for a few minutes and left. Should have just bought our isn’t ticket and saved the money,
