Learning Turkish Cuisine from a Charming Chef - During the trip to Turkey, coming to this restaurant to learn how to cook is a very vivid and significant part of the journey. The chef who teaches cooking is extremely handsome and humorous. He is not only highly professional but also incredibly nice. As soon as he stepped into the kitchen, his confident demeanor and warm smile immediately put everyone at ease. He patiently demonstrated each cooking step, from carefully chopping the fresh ingredients to skillfully seasoning the dishes, explaining the cooking principles and local culinary secrets with witty remarks that had us all laughing out loud. Whether answering our most basic questions or offering in - depth insights into Turkish cuisine, he did so with great enthusiasm, making this cooking class not just a learning experience but also an extremely enjoyable and unforgettable memory.

An amazing class! - I would highly recommend this cooking class at this Michelin star restaurant. The owner of the restaurant taught the class with precision, humor and a personal touch. We learned new cooking techniques, and the food was amazing. We were able to eat our dinner that we cooked and it truly was a highlight of our trip. Thank you for offering us a rare opportunity for which we will always be grateful!

Cooking wit Mr Necati Ylmaz. - It was a great experience! The restaurante is wonderful, the chef, Mr. Neceti Ylmaz, is very personable. The chef that accompanied us was very professional and efficient. We were able to cook delicious dishes from the Otoman cuisine, and had a great lunch.

Very unique experience and opportunity! - It's not often you get a chance to do a cooking class in a Michelin restaurant.
There was a bit of confusion with the driver telling me to get off at Sura hotel, which is across from the restaurant, with no further guidance..but just make your way to Deraliye Restaurant if you're in that situation.
The chef was not just talented but extremely also friendly and of course patient, a must when it comes to me in the kitchen. The dishes were both simple and also full of flavor.
You spend about 1-1.5 hours of cooking in total, and you're rewarded with an amazing 3-course meal at the end.

Cooking Class - A terrific experience learning to prepare Turkish cuisine. Chef Halil is a fabulous instructor - she provided clear explanations, and demonstrated superb technique. I'm vegan, and was excited to experience how the various spices, ingredients, and cooking process translate to veganism. The entire staff was absolutely delightful and engaging which made for a fun experience.

Great experience - We had a great time cooking with Hilai today. The meal turned out great and I picked up a few things I can use in my cooking when I get home.

Istanbul cooking class - My wife and I had a great time during the cooking class and have taken back some inspiration to cook a similar style of food at home. The chef and restaurant manger, who we primarily interacted with, were superb. Their instruction and patience was much appreciated and the food at the end was delicious.
Additionally, the restaurant was in a great part of town, ideally located to make a day of seeing Istanbul’s key landmarks such as the Hagia Sofia.
The only disappointment was that it is advertised as a 4 hour experience where in reality it is only half that. If it has not been for this it definitely would have received 5 stars.
Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone with an interest in cooking.

Overpriced - Food was mediocre, definitely overpriced for what we learned . The chef was a young girl and she was very sweet and friendly but the flavor of food was just okay. We’ve done many cooking classes all over the world this was probably the most expensive and not that great. On the description they say wine tasting and that was not even offered, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Disappointment at the cancellation of the Cooking Class in Turkey from Istanbul. - Unfortunately, the cooking class was cancelled by the organiser, I only found out on the morning of the class when I was confirming the name of the restaurant that would be hosting the cooking class. They asked me to come the week after which was impossible as we were only in Istanbul for 2 days. We were very disappointed, as we had been looking forward to this opportunity during our stay in Istanbul...
