• Ayasofya Camii - Originally built as a Greek Orthodox cathedral in 360 AD, it remained so until the Ottoman Empire’s conquest of Constantinople in 1453. It then served as a mosque until 1935, when it was converted into a museum. In 2020, it was reconverted into a mosque. For visiting, the line at the entrance gate has a waiting time of around 45 minutes. There is no priority pass for official guides.
• Blue Mosque - Also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, it is famous for its six minarets and unique tiles.
• Hippodrome - The Hippodrome of Constantinople was the center of the city’s social, political, and sporting life during the Byzantine period. Visit the Obelisk of Thutmose III, the Walled Obelisk, the German Fountain, and some ruins from the original Hippodrome.
• Basilica Cistern - Built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian, this subterranean cistern was named Basilica because it was located under a large public square, the Stoa Basilica, on the First Hill of Constantinople. It measures approximately 138 meters (453 ft) by 65 meters (213 ft), covering about 9,800 square meters (105,000 sq ft) and capable of holding 80,000 cubic meters (2,800,000 cu ft) of water. It features 336 marble columns, each 9 meters (30 ft) high. During the tour, you will see marble blocks carved with the face of Medusa and the teardrop column.
• Kapali Carsi - The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops spanning a total area of 30,700 m2. It attracts between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily and is often regarded as one of the world’s first shopping malls.
