Family Moments at the Majestic Hagia Sophia - The Hagia Sophia in Istanbul is a breathtaking masterpiece blending history, religion, and architecture. Visiting with my husband and kid was such a memorable experience. The grandeur of its massive dome and the intricate mix of Christian mosaics and Islamic calligraphy left us in awe. Walking through centuries of history together made it even more special. A must-visit for families!

A historic place whose history is very well developed in the museum. A unique serenity in this place! - What an excellent idea to have paired the tour ticket with a virtual tour in the museum explaining the history of Saint Sophie. Admittedly 100 euros may seem a lot but it is a unique visit! We are waiting for the Tokapi Palace to develop the same concept.

Istanbul Gem, really is a must see for many reasons! - Beautiful place to see inside. If you want a good view of the building, head to seven hills cafe rooftop. The queue was around half an hour. Try not to buy online tickets with the price being doubled for the privilege of queue jumping.
Amazing to see such history, especially with the original religious scripts still up, even with it now a practicing mosque…. Not a museum anymore as it once was.

What a disappointment - I came away feeling disappointed; the ticket price is extortionate for what you’re actually allowed to visit. I was under the impression that the whole area was open to visitors (outside of prayer time of course) but alas no. Just the upper balconies. And yes whilst impressive and a hugely important building it such a disappointment. Go really careful on selecting your ticket choice - you get rather bombarded with different options. The museum for me is absolutely not worth the money.

disappointment, discrimination and feeling unwelcome - First of all, Hagia Sophia is not a mosque but a museum representing our common history.
Shame on Istanbul for destroying cultural heritage by systematically removing a part of history that does not suit them, as peoples did thousands of years ago.
It was built during the Eastern Roman Empire, i.e. as a church.
It represented something that does not correspond to current politics, so it must be destroyed.
Hagia represents the history of Europe and Asia, but not the current Turkish government and Erdogan.
HAGIA SOFIA is not a mosque, but a monument of historical importance.
Security guards and ticket sellers are extremely unfriendly and arrogant.
Entry is only allowed to the second floor for a fee.
Below is reserved for Turks!!!!!
Why already????
Never again.

A historical marvel being ruined by the policies of the government - It should have stayed as a museum and protected. If it is a mosque it should be free to enter for everyone. Now there is a discrimination, only Turkish are allowed to enter the lower floor. Non-turkish can't visit the lower floor and they have to pay a huge entrance fee. I am disgusted to see children and their brothers or fathers wrestling in this marvelous monument. I feel really sad watching us ruin another historical monument and betray Istanbul.
