• Hippodrome - The Hippodrome was the site of chariot races during Roman times. I’ll share some historical insights about this area. We’ll see several obelisks, including the city’s oldest monument, the Egyptian Obelisk, which is perfect for photos.
• Blue Mosque - We’ll visit one of the most significant Ottoman mosques. I’ll provide information about Islam and the mosque’s architecture, helping you understand why it’s called the Blue Mosque. There is a dress code: women must cover their heads with headscarves and wear long dresses, while men can wear shorts as long as they are below the knee.
• Ayasofya Camii - We’ll explore one of the world’s most important places of worship. Hagia Sophia, a 1500-year-old structure, represents a blend of religions and cultures. • Topkapi Palace - We’ll tour an Ottoman palace that served as the royal family’s private residence and the administrative and educational center of the Ottoman state. This open-air museum features various rooms and offers one of the best views of Istanbul from the last courtyard. Note that Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays.
• Basilica Cistern - We’ll visit a Roman-era cistern, the largest water storage facility from that time, famous for its two Medusa Head sculptures.
• Grand Bazaar - We’ll explore the world’s first shopping mall, which also serves as a cultural center. Here, you can experience Turkish culture and purchase souvenirs to remember your time in Istanbul.
