• Basilica Cistern - Known as the Yerebatan Cistern, this ancient underground water reservoir is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was constructed in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.
• Kapali Carsi - The Grand Bazaar, or “Kapalıçarşı” in Turkish, is among the oldest and largest covered markets worldwide. Situated in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey, it spans over 30,000 square meters. Initially built in the 15th century during Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror’s reign, it has expanded over the centuries to include more than 60 streets and alleys, and over 4,000 shops. Closed on Sundays.
• Egyptian Bazaar - Known as the “Egyptian Bazaar” or “Mısır Çarşısı” in Turkish, the Spice Bazaar is one of Istanbul’s most famous markets, located in the Eminönü neighborhood. Originally constructed by Roman Emperor Septimius Severus in 203 AD, it was expanded by his successors over the centuries. The Hippodrome served as the social, cultural, and political center of Constantinople, hosting chariot races, festivals, and public gatherings. Today, it houses several ancient monuments, including the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpent Column, and the Walled Obelisk, which stand as reminders of the city’s rich history and cultural heritage.
