Great place for beautiful photos - That’s an amazing and fantastic place. It gave me a strong historical feeling. When I walked there, I could feel the ancient times. I also saw the Medusa heads. If you read about Medusa’s history before visiting, it will make the experience even more meaningful. The lights create a beautiful view, perfect for photography.

A spectacle! - I would say that the skip the line ticket with audio guide is the best choice I could have made. We entered in a moment and we found ourselves in front of a show of columns and colors. It turns very quickly, an attraction not to be missed.

Unique experience. Great thing to do at night - A must see/go-to attraction in Istanbul. We went at night. It was opening at 19h30. We got there 10 minutes before the opening and we entered as soon as doors opened. We had a great surprise during our visit when a 4-violon orchestra came to play. It was just a perfect visit.

To do absolutely. - Beautiful and unique. Pretty magical atmosphere. Very nice place. We are amazed (again) by the builders' talents of the Romans.

Amazing - Must experience, especially with the lighting and water droplets. See Medusa’s head. Buy the tickets online “skip the line” as you will not have to wait in line. You pay a bit more.

A Hidden Gem in Istanbul - Visited the Basilica Cistern and it was amazing! The underground chamber is so cool and eerie at the same time. The columns and the Medusa heads are fascinating. It's a bit dark and damp, but that adds to the mysterious atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Istanbul!

A moment of calm amongst the bustle of Istanbul - This is something for a weekday when it's less busy and you can take your time. It's quite expensive if you just walk in and about and leave. Less people also mean its more peaceful and the atmosphere is more romantic. The artwork is super random and because there is no plaque talking about what it is about or what inspired the artist it feels very soulless. However I gave it 4 stars still since its amazing from a history perspective, its romantic to walk around with with your sig. Other, the lights and atmosphere are beautiful and overall its a lovely break from the bustle of Istanbul.

Steeling off as much as possible from tourists - For 1400 lire, this place loses its value. For the natives, the price for contrast is 150 lire. Draw your oursers. I was in 3 tanks in Istanbul. One for 350 lire, the other for 650 lire and the last for 1400. It’s just that Turkey has a rule of snifing tourists as much as possible, and at every turn. Considering the minimum square in 2025.
