Historically rich and impressive tour - We lovedr touring Basilica Cistern and Topkapi with Hussain yesterday. He had very interesting stories to share about the sights we were seeing. The cistern and palace are very well preserved and we could imagine the palace alive with Black Eunuchs, concubines avnd the Sultan. Morning tour was ideal because it wasn't crowded and we took our time meandering about.

Absolutely Amazing! - Great choice to use a guide for a very brief stop in Istanbul. We could not have seen what we did without Erdem. We had only two nights and two and a half days and wanted to see as much as we could. With Erdem we were able to relax and let him plan out how to see what a local would consider a must. His historical insights and commentary made it a great tour. We saw the first four sites in the morning and early afternoon. It was an intense but leisurely walking tour. We started out visiting the Sultanahmet Mosque (or "Blue Mosque"). Pictures don't do it justice and we were lucky to see it in a "low" tourist season (December start) with few visitors compared to the summer. Go as early as possible in high season to avoid the crowd. A guide can also help you avoid a longer wait. Second was the Basilica Cistern. The Bond and Dan Brown movies don't do it justice. It's absolutely beautiful. Expect to feel like you're in an architecturally rich cave. We were also surprised to see that the cistern also hosts art exhibits that fit well with the ambience of the structure. Third was the Topkapi Palace. The palace was actually an impressive sprawling complex. Complimented with Erdem's commentary we were able to gain a sense of palace life and its history. The view of the Bosphorus was amazing! Fourth was the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. This was a surprise. We were told before we arrived that we could not visit this mosque. While the ground floor was limited to Turkish citizens for preservation reasons, visitors can access the second floor museum which had finished renovations. This was actually an easier tour because the museum is not in the prayer area but you can still see most of the mosque. Erdem's description of the mosque's history and architecture was terrific. After a break for lunch, we visited the Grand Bazar and several traditional shops recommended by Erdem.

It was like a friend showing their city to you - Murat was our guide and he did a wonderful job! He made sure to ask what we were interested in and adjusted to our questions and speed. It truly felt like a friend you have not seen in a while taking you around the city they love.

Incredible insights and super guide! - We went on a full day tour of Istanbul highlights with Tuġba and it was incredible. We visited the Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar. Our guide was so very knowledgeable about everything: history, religion, art, architecture, culture. She answered all our questions and was very patient and unhurried and flexible. This made the day even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend Tuġba - her knowledge is incredible and her English is impeccable. Would do this again!

Eye opening! - We highly recommend this tour with Tuġba. She is so very knowledgeable about the history, religions, art and everything in between in Istanbul! Istanbul - Erdem is a great guide, very knowledgeable and familiar with Istanbul. He took us around the Grand Bazaar, The Blue Mosque, the Sophia Mosque, as well as a boat ride in the Bosphirus Strait.
