Beautiful - Very beautiful palace and very large, with beautiful garden. We can see all the old facilities, all very well preserved, where we can appreciate the beauty and detail of the architecture of the time. And place very large and requires time.

Imperversible - The palace is amazing, quite large and full of historical relics, besides the harem. Very large and with various types of environments, prepare to walk. Serape at least 4 hours for the visit.

Experience can be better - Very friendly and accommodating guide. Didn’t like the fact that the company kept name and contact details of the guide “a secret” right till the last moment. I prefer to know who I am meeting and communicate with them ahead of time. For the information we received and process, the tour was too expensive. Guide left us at the Harem to go on our own while in fact most of the inside of harem is where you need the additional history and narrative.

Our only complaint! - Me and my husband just arrived from an amazing trip! Starting on 13/08 in London, then from 15 to 26/08 on a cruise through the British Islands + Belgium + France by CIA Norwegian and from 27 to 31/08 last stretch in Turkey. Searching before the trip well in advance I found the Istanbul Tourist Pass website, which was simply sensational in terms of service, time and cost benefit, when it comes to tourist attractions. We bought a pass for 5 days that already at the second Attraction, if we were paying avulso, probably would have given the full value of the pass! The fact that it is digital (easy to use) and especially the ability to "jump huge files", saved us time, enabling us to visit more sights. The Tb outsourced tours were impeccable, with excellent service and no delays. I only have one complaint: the visit to Topkapi Palace (one of the highlights of the tour for us) left a lot to be desired and somehow broke my heart, because I ended up missing the "harem session" :( unfortunately this tour is mandatory with Guide, which for us makes it difficult (Guide only in English, we understand but we are not fluent) and we already have the habit of researching everything about the place in advance to enjoy and see as much as possible, when the place is giant, as was the case. It happens, that it was not clear that this Guide visit was TOTALLY mandatory only with the guide and only the entrance to the palace. On the day it rained and it stopped all the time and at some point, because of the rain, we ended up separating from the group and continuing with the walk separately. Even because the Guide himself said we would have free time, so in our understanding, we were already inside the palace. And let’s say by the way: we’ve seen almost every person entering the palace on their own! When we arrived at the harem, the police said we needed the code and as the Guide was with our code we were prevented from entering! I immediately informed the Istanbul Tourist Pass service, which they could not solve. This tour was done on the last day of the trip. Result: we could not see the most important part of Topkapi Palace! We were very sad, because if this was very clear on the site, we would have left this tour at the top of the schedule, so that if some unexpected occurred, as it actually happened, we could have a chance to visit the next day. Still super recommend the Istanbul Tourist Pass and when I can go back to Istanbul, I will definitely buy again. We visit: Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, Dolmanbaçi Palace, Bazares Grand and Egyptian, Cisterns, Taksim Square, cruise with dinner by the Bosphorus and Set of Turkish historical series shootings. For these tours we give 5 stars, perfect!

not interesting - Topkapi Palace is not a must in my opinion if you visit Istanbul. Having travelled a lot in other countries, and having seen a lot of palaces/castles... , I find this one not very interesting. Especially since it is very expensive (55€ entry without Guide) I find that it is literally theft, yet I am usually very inclined to pay to visit cultural monuments but this one I do not recommend it. Even gardens aren't crazy. If you want, there is a first garden at the entrance accessible free of charge. I advise you rather if you are in Istanbul to walk in the different neighborhoods, it is free and much more interesting!

Rushed tour with large group but still interesting - The guide was very rushed and could not or would not provide a paper ticket for entry, which meant that palace’s audio tour system, to be used when the quick guided tour had ended, could not be activated. He just refused to help with this. If you buy a ticket yourself from the gate, you get a QR code on the paper ticket which me thus allows you to activate the audio tour on your mobile phone. Also the group was so big that one could not often hear the guide unless you finagled your way thru the group to get very close. If they’d have offered a live audio, it would have been much better. This tour is worth it for maybe $10 over regular admission just to skip the line. But know that you will give up the recorded audio tour.

Impressive palace with poor guide - We couldn’t understand our English-speaking guide very well. His accent was too strong. After an hour of showing the palace layout he left us to explore the palace in detail.

No guide in Spanish - When you buy the ticket it says that there is a guide in Spanish and it turns out that only and exclusively it is in English. They just give you the audio guide option on your phone and they're supposed to pay me back for the guide part, but anyone trusts me already. A hoax. I do not understand why they give the option of Spanish if there is none at any time.

Do Not Use…..they do not honor tickets - Do not book this tour. Upon arrival at meeting place the tour operator tried to claim that our tour started at 2 not 2:30 (per ticket and per Viator App). They claim an email was sent but it was not. Clearly they could have said join the tour at this time or done something. Staff was rude and clearly this tour is a scam.
