Great experience, equally interesting - Top notch. Bunyamin really has a passion for his country, Turkish history and culture. Coffee is of course part of the tradition and Bunyamin delivered wonderfully. Learning where the coffee beans come from, to grinding the coffee beans, boiling the water and stirring in the correct way, was all very interesting. We also heard more about Istanbul and Turkey in general during our workshop. Coffee tasted great. Really nice way to spend a quiet afternoon in an otherwise very busy city. Highly recommended. Thanks Bunyamin, good job.

Highly recommended - The coffee class was very organized. Each student had his/her own utensil kit for use during the hands-on workshop. The classroom was lovely. Enjoyed the class! Thank you.

Lovely experience - The class was totally fun and interesting. Learned about history of Turkish coffee and traditional Turkish culture. The class location is right by the Egyptian Bazaar and the spice market; the building itself is also very interesting. Overall, a lovely experience for anyone that's looking to do something different.

Don't miss this experience when in Istanbul! - This class was a highlight of our trip. The venue, the host, the experience, the fun: everything was memorable. Aleyna Cetintas was a knowledgable host. She is an Archeologist by training and has really delved into the art and history of coffee making. The class includes a fascinating historical background mini lecture on how coffee making developed in the Ottoman Empire. The venue is a 1500 year old building, that as a tourist you would NEVER see if it weren't for this class. You go through an archway with the name Balkapani Han and enter an interior courtyard filled with old shop locations. One of those is Aleyna's. She has it beautifully decorated to suit the historical beauty of the ancient building and the event. Stop the frenzy of touristing for a couple hours to sit in the peaceful, enjoyable fun of a historical lecture and hands-on Turkish coffee making class.

Fantastic Fun! - Great class. Would recommend as a way to round out your trip. It was worth every penny. The gifts at the end are wonderful souvenirs from the class and a great way to remember your trip. Please note the class is held on the second floor of a 500 year old building and you must climb up stairs.

A great experience for coffee lovers - A very enjoyable and off the beaten path experience, especially for those interested in the history of coffee. ILVE, our guide was very sweet, personable and informative. The workshop is held in a 500 yo brick building and the aesthetics are amazing
