• Tianjin Railway Station - You will be picked up from your hotel around 8:00 AM and taken to Beijing South Railway Station. From there, you will travel to Tianjin by high-speed train, departing at 9:21 AM and arriving at Tianjin Railway Station around 10:00 AM. Upon arrival, you will see the Haihe River, Jinwan Plaza, Liberation Bridge, and the Century Clock.
• Jiefang North Road - Explore the former French and British concessions along Jiefang North Road (Tianjin Financial Street). Visit historical buildings such as the first post office of the Qing Dynasty, clubs, barracks, consulates, foreign firm buildings, police station, parliament buildings, Astor Hotel, Anglican Church, and more. Appreciate various styles of Western architecture and learn about the stories from 100 years ago, as well as the earliest urban landscape of China.
• Five Great Avenues - Head to the Xiaobailou (Little White Building) area, the most prosperous area in Tianjin 100 years ago. Visit Keissling, one of the four Western restaurants in China. The Five Great Avenues is a traditional living quarter with five east-west streets, once the largest wealthy living area in China. Today, it features former residences of historical celebrities and various buildings, earning it the nickname “All Countries Architecture Expo.” The visit will be by car.
• Italian Style Street - Italian Style Town is the center of the former Italian concession, now a recreational area for shopping, dining, and drinking. Try local street food like Chinese crepes (Tianjin Jianbing). See historic sites and buildings such as Marcopolo Square, Piazza Dante, the former Italian club, and former residences of historical celebrities. Lunch will be nearby.
• Ancient Culture Street (Gu Wenhua Jie) - Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street is a traditional shopping street and fair. The Tianhou Palace, the earliest building in Tianjin, is located here. Built beside the Haihe River at Sanchahekou (the confluence of three rivers), it marks the birthplace of the city. Witness the city’s development and experience local folk customs. See traditional handicrafts like Yangliuqing New Year Pictures and clay figure Zhang. Try local snacks such as earhole fried rice cake and Shibajie fried dough twists, and watch a Tangshan shadow play.
• Ferris Wheel, Eye of Tianjin - The Ferris Wheel, also known as the Eye of Tianjin, stands at the new confluence of three rivers, at the head of the Haihe River. It is the only Ferris wheel built on a bridge across a river in the world. Enjoy the view from a good spot and take a picture. Entry is not included.
• Jingyuan - Visit Jingyuan (Jing Garden), one of the former residences of celebrities in Tianjin. It was the residence of the Last Emperor of China, Puyi, who lived there for two years (1929-1931). Learn about the history of that period.
• HePing Lu ShangYeJie - See the Porcelain House, a French-style building decorated with porcelain pieces, vases, and ornaments. Walk around the traditional pedestrian shopping streets of Heping Road and Binjiang Road, the busiest shopping streets in modern Tianjin with a history of about 120 years. Discover time-honored shops like Quanyechang (Tianjin Bazaar) and modern shops on both sides of the street. Experience the commercial atmosphere and culture of the city.
• Tianjin Haihe Cultural Square - Take a walk along the Haihe River, appreciate the river view, and experience the local lifestyle. Afterward, return to Tianjin Railway Station to board the train back to Beijing South Railway Station, arriving around 19:40. The driver will take you back to your hotel.
