Erfoud - Erfoud, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” is the next destination. Explore this desert town and its unique fossil industry. Visit a local fossil workshop and witness the artisans’ craftsmanship.

Merzouga - As the day ends, reach the crown jewel of the journey, Merzouga. This desert oasis is home to the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Prepare for a breathtaking sunset camel ride across the golden dunes – a surreal and unforgettable experience. Afterward, transfer to a comfortable and well-appointed hotel in Merzouga to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest in comfort.

EXPLORING MERZOUGA

Merzouga - Start the day with breakfast, then explore the area. Choose between two options for the desert day. Option one: hire a jeep or a 4-wheel “quad” to visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia, learn about Gnawa music and their way of life, and journey into the Sahara desert to meet nomad families living under traditional Berber tents. Enjoy a delicious local meal of Berber pizza with a Berber family for lunch. Option two: visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia, learn about Gnawa music and their way of life, visit the historic city of Rissani, birthplace of the ruling Alaouite dynasty, and its bustling souk filled with spices, vegetables, and cloth. Walk through the souk and explore the 360 ksar. Drive back to Merzouga, where a camel awaits to take you on a 1-hour ride to the camp in the heart of the highest sand dunes. Watch the sunset and stars, and enjoy dinner at the camp. Accommodation and camels are provided.

MERZOUGA- TODRA VALLEY - DADES VALLEY-OUARZAZATE

Merzouga - The adventure begins amidst the mesmerizing Saharan dunes of Merzouga. Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, painting the desert in shades of gold and crimson.

Todra River - Leaving Merzouga behind, the next destination is the dramatic Todra Valley, renowned for its towering canyon walls carved by the Todra River. Wander through the canyon’s winding paths and be awed by the sheer cliffs that soar overhead.

Boumalne Dades - Continue the journey to the lush oasis of Dades Valley, a stark contrast to the arid landscapes traversed. Explore the palm groves, marvel at the architecture of kasbahs, and discover the local way of life in this green paradise.

Ouarzazate - As the day unfolds, the adventure leads to the iconic city of Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Explore this film hub, including visits to the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah, which have been featured in numerous famous movies and TV series.

OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADOU -MARRAKECH

Ait Ben Haddou - Leaving Ouarzazate, the next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient village, perched on a hilltop, is famous for its well-preserved kasbahs and stunning architecture, featured in many movies and TV shows. Explore the winding streets, visit the kasbahs, and immerse in centuries of history.

Marrakech - After a memorable visit to Ait Ben Haddou, continue the journey towards the vibrant city of Marrakech. The drive takes you through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views of valleys, gorges, and traditional Berber villages along the way.
