Additional Information

Fez stands out as one of the few cities globally that has maintained its medieval architecture, traditions, and lifestyle. It is not merely a tourist spot; it is home to 150,000 residents who thrive in crafts, trade, spiritual activities, and raising families. Fez boasts a rich history where Arab, African, and European civilizations have intersected for centuries. It is a hub for Moroccan intellectuals and aristocracy, a center for Islamic spiritual life and Sufism, and a place where crafts are elevated to the level of fine arts. Visiting Morocco without experiencing Fez is like missing the essence of the country.

Walking around Fes - Ali is a wonderful guide! He showed us all the sights of the city of Fes, took us along a very interesting route and introduced us to the history, culture and traditions of Morocco. The city exceeded all expectations. The only thing is to actively bargain EVERYWHERE. And don’t hesitate to reduce your prices significantly. They will look at it with reproach, but they will sell it anyway. We overpaid for several things ourselves, even knocking down the price, but this is a gradual learning process.

Simply wonderful and authentic tour to Fez - We would like to share our experience about a 2-day tour to Morocco cities, visited in the beginning of February 2023. We started with a bigger group of 16 people from Marrakech to Casablanca, where we had around 3h walk. Then we continued our Morocco exploration with a smaller group of 6 people to Rabat. There we had no tour guide, but instead there was totally fascinating car driver, who shared his knowledge with us and stopped at Kasbah of the Udayas to see the sunset from the authentic place and feel the spirit of Rabat. From there we continued to Fez. We stayed at a riad we booked ourselves near the old part of Fez and on the next day we had the most outstanding tour during the whole visit! Our group was welcomed by the most amazing guide Ali, who was delicate, patient, caring and shared with us not only commercial tourist information, but deepened our knowledge with some spiritual facts. We were fascinated by all the labyrinth of the Fez streets, factories, history, people and all the locations we visited. Even though we spent around 4 hours in Fez - we had an experience for a lifetime! Definitely worth visiting! Thanks to all the organizers and Ali the tour guide for the memories. Sincerely A group from Estonia
