Day 1: Fez to Merzouga\n\nMerzouga Desert - Your journey begins with a pickup from your riad as we depart Fez and head towards the Middle Atlas. Our first stop is imouzare, followed by the charming town of ifran, often referred to as ‘little Switzerland’. Take a moment to admire the town center and its renowned lion statue. We’ll then proceed through the breathtaking vistas of the Atlas Mountains, including the notable ‘tizi oughmari’ pass. For those interested in wildlife, the native MAGOT monkeys can be seen in the cedar forests, where we’ll pause for some fun and photo opportunities. Continuing on to Midelt, we’ll stop for lunch amidst the scenic hills and peaks of the High Atlas. Take in the stunning views and landscapes. Later, we’ll spend some time in Errachidia, where you can delight in the scenery of the ‘Ziz Valley’, one of the world’s most expansive valleys. Our route then takes us past Erfoud, pausing to enjoy the panoramic views en route to Merzouga. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing mint tea before embarking on a camel trek through the desert, culminating in a sunset viewing. The evening concludes with dinner under the stars at your tented accommodation.\n\n### Day 2: Merzouga to Fez\n\nFes el-Bali - Greet the dawn in Merzouga, and after breakfast, we’ll set off back to Fez. En route, we’ll explore the heart of Merzouga, visit the oasis of hassi labyad, and the Khamlia village, situated close to the Erg chebbi dunes.
