Wonderful tour of the Desert - We had a great time with Ali and Mustafa who shared with us aplenty of the history and culture of the Atlas regions and it’s people. We especially loved the dinner we had at Riad Gabsi on our first night! Highly recommend this tour!

Exciting Adventure - We had a wonderful time and recommend this experience highly. Well organized, responsive . . . no complaints as to service. Our driver/guide through the desert, Youssef, was great, and very accommodating. he struggled at times with English, but made up for it with helpfulness and warmth. The night in the desert in the tented camp was amazing - Bedouin food, music, and campfire. After my initial fear of camel riding, all went well and it was an exciting experience (even for a plumpish 71-year-old woman!)

Full Review of Camel Safaries. *Ask for Hassan* - A long overdue review for an amazing trip from Fes to Marrakech with Camel Safari in April 2019. Quick version: Ali is a very responsive manager, and our guide Hassan executed the trip so that it was personalized and beyond a tourist experience. He is worth requesting. A more detailed review for those considering embarking on this trip: Planning Process: It was extremely easy to coordinate this trip with Ali (almost alarmingly) and get all of our questions answered. Despite the time difference from the US to Morocco I would find a very timely email response to make planning very simple. We initially had some hesitation sending the deposit without actually speaking and not having a personal reference ourselves, but everything turned out to be very legitimate and I cannot say enough about how easy Ali made the whole planning process. The Experience: Our trip was a guided tour from Fes to Marrakech in 3 days. The reality of that experience is a balance of a lot of driving and immersing yourself in as much Berber culture as you can fit in. This is where having the right guide makes all of the difference. We were fortunate enough to be paired with Hassan who had a wealth of knowledge and provided a tour beyond just the surface level tourist attractions. In the many hours driving along this beautiful country, Hassan gave us facts about each town we went through, history and local insight to some of the places. He indulged us in taking rest stops to explore canyons, desert and random stops, including a snowball fight in the mid atlas. The Accommodations: The desert camp is amazing. Maybe it was due to the lack of expectations, but we found ourselves taking the camel ride to a five star glamping experience with wifi, curated meals and running water where some of our fellow guests were on their honeymoon. Our second night was spent in a beautiful hotel on a hilltop providing amazing views of the valleys and dades in the area. The food included throughout the trip was stellar and all I can say is I am happy to have bought some local Moroccan mint tea from the local spice market. In summary this trip is an amazing value for the personalized experience and accommodations you receive and I would never make this trip without the professional guide service like what Camel Safaries provides.

Highlights of Morocco in a fantastic trip through Sahara desert - Most memorable trip for our 2019! Our family of five took the 4d/3n trip with Camel Safaries. The booking communication with Ali was easy, informative and very professional. Our guide Mustafa was a very knowledgeable and professional one. He is from the Merzouga area, and it was so nice to walk around the local market with him and to feel as if we are part of the locals. Compare with Fez and Marrakesh, we enjoyed local desert market the best. The trip takes lot of driving. We were a bit apprehensive about the long winding drive, but thanks to Mustafa, the best Moroccan driver out there, the drives were smooth with many beautiful stops in between making the trip enjoyable and easy. Our vehicle was a very spacious and comfortable passenger van, great for our extended distance on the road. Three nights lodging and meals were also wonderful and satisfactory. In particular, the luxury dune camp we stayed were remarkable. We had our New Years Eve under the starlights dancing by the camp fire. Again, thanks to Ali and Mustafa, we had a very memorable trip in Morocco.

Amazing Experience with Amazing Guides!! - We had an awesome experience with Camel Safaries, and with our guide Hamid and driver Mohamed! We did the three day trip from Fes to Marrakech through the Sahara with overnights on the desert and Ouarzazate. The guide/driver were prompt, professional, communicative, full of great knowledge and made this part of our trip so enjoyable. They taught us so much about the areas we visited as well as Arabic and Berber words that we were able to use in conversation with the locals along the way and for the rest of our trip. They were also great about checking in on us to make sure we got what we wanted out of the tour. The Sahara overnight as well as the stops we made along the way were all so memorable. We highly recommend Hamid and Mohamed, as well as Camel Safaries!

It was a wonderful trip!!! - There’s over thousand kilometres road ride, such a long journey. But it was definitely worth the price! Especially love the view on the roadside, and the night spent in Sahara desert. The second night hotel was amazing, too! Many thanks to tour guide, khalib, he was very knowledgeable! And he know his country pretty well. My husband was not comfortable during the road ride because he need air circulation, for that Khalib lower down the car window for us every single time! Because of the driving noise, when we were talking he closed the window, and we stop conversation he open window again. He just remember to do this without our request for the whole trip. We felt thankful!

Wonderful Sahara Adventure with very warm & kind Hosts! - We (My wife & I) had taken this private tour with another couple who were our friends and all of us loved every minute of it! Our guide - Yahia & our driver Mohammed were wonderful throughout the trip. They took care of our every need and also patiently answered all our questions while showing us the Berber culture, the traditions, the architecture and showing some very scenic spots on the way. Yahia also went out of his way to help me with a personal issue by translating with all the local people and I am truly grateful for all the help. As this was a private tour, they were also very flexible with the time management across the locations and planned it based on our preference and how tired we were. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the one night stay in the Desert camp where the accommodation, decor, ambiance and more importantly the warm and friendly people serving us was simply brilliant! The sunset and sunrise is truly a remarkable experience in the desert. One suggestion in my opinion would be to take the Luxury accommodation if your budget allows it as I believe it is a very small difference for a very comfortable accommodation (especially in the Desert camp). To summarize - We had a wonderful time with Yahia & Mohammed on this trip and would highly recommend this trip & them! Thanks a ton to them for making this a memorable experience for us!! PS: We took a 4 day 3 night trip private tour from & to Marrakech, not really the same as in the options mentioned above but similar.

Very well organised, at times too touristy - I booked a 3 days/2nights private tour for 2 people from Fes to Marrakesh trough the Merzouga desert. The communication with Ali prior to the tour was excellent and fast. The car was a recent and comfortable 4x4 Toyota. The guide and the driver have been very nice and reliable. A bit more entertainment by the guide would have been appreciated (maybe Ramadan did not help). Wonderful accommodation for both desert and Dadès. Room for improvement in lunch break (a bit overpriced/touristy). Maybe once again Ramadan did not help. Still recommended!
