Great experience but disorganized - My husband and I went on this tour. Our driver, Younes Kerroumi, was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, professional and timely. He helped us out with a couple of hiccups at the campsite which even our local tour operator didn't even bother to lend a hand with. We enjoyed the scenic drive from Fes through the mountains and into the Sahara. We loved the monkeys! :) When we arrived at the desert, we had a comfy ride on the camels. The animals are well looked after which is important to an animal lover. After our photographer tried to sell us some items, we were brought to the campsite where it took at least an hour to figure out who sleeps where. It seemed that they were overbooked. We finally were able to drop our bags and go play in the sand and take pictures before dinner. Listening to the drums and dancing around the campfire was so much fun. The following day, the organizer of the campsite didn't know we were staying an extra night at a riad nearby in the city of Mergouza. He told us to wait while everyone else were shipped off to their next destination. After an hour waiting around, I finally went to look for someone. I was told to wait 1 more hour. We were finally brought to our riad, Riad Momouche, which was a 20 minute drive away. This riad is a little oasis in the middle of the desert. Food at both locations was fabulous. The people were really friendly and tried to help. With the exception of some miscommunication and disorganization between the local tour operator and the campsite, this tour was great! I would have given it a 5* but because of the time lost due to the issues above, I gave it a 4*.
