Additional Information

We will collect you from where you’re staying, and then initiate our day with a vibrant excursion to a local marketplace tucked away in the dynamic Fes Medina. There, we will gather all the necessary components we will later utilise to craft an authentic Moroccan feast during our engaging cooking class. The butcher stalls will offer a selection of fresh meats including beef, chicken, and lamb, while the greengrocer stands boast high-quality vegetables at astoundingly affordable rates, and the fruit vendors showcase an explosion of colors and tastes. Meanwhile, the spice sellers display an assortment of aromatic seasonings required to concoct savory dishes, featuring exotic yellow saffron, fiery red paprika, aromatic yellow cumin, warm orange-brown ginger, brilliant turmeric yellows, pitch-black pepper powders, earthy cinnamon sticks or ground powder, and pure white Moroccan salt, creating a barrage of sensatory delights! Once we finish our marketplace adventure, your guide will lead you to a quintessential Moroccan cookhouse.

A Very Enjoyable Cooking Class - We had a wonderful time attending our cooking class! Our party included me, my husband and our 13 year old grandson. The activity began with going out to the market with our guide to gather the food we would be cooking. Back in the kitchen, we learned how to prepare our dishes (chicken tagine and chicken with couscous). All the food was delicious and we had such a good time with our hosts. I highly recommend this event!

Best Cooking Class in Fez - This was by far the best cooking class we have taken anywhere. Mohamed and Fatima patiently led us through our recipes. We began with a trip to the market for ingredients, then returned to a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen in a fabulous setting. We made a Moroccan salad, a chicken tagine and a vegetable couscous. We also were shown all the steps to make a perfect mint tea and enjoyed it with an assortment of biscuits on a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. Dinner was served with an additional 7 small salads and dips with bread. There was so much food and everything tasted delicious. This is definitely a 5 star experience. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and our hosts. We can highly recommend this class as one of the best activities to do while visiting Fez. We look forward to duplicating the dishes at home when we receive the recipes. Thank you for such a special evening.

Exceptional, unmissable! - Amazing ! An exceptional moment of sharing and conviviality A warm and family atmosphere in a superb location. I really recommend it, for me it’s a must and it’s what we liked best about our stay. We went with our two and a half year old daughter, she was able to participate and when she was a little fed up, she was able to play in the room where we were. We started the workshop with a trip to the market to buy the ingredients needed for the recipe that we were able to choose and then we returned to the palace and we all cooked together!

Wonderful cooking class in Fes - Fatima and Mohamed were very friendly and patient with us, we learnt a lot, cooking salad, tagine and couscous. We went to the market to buy produce first. The interior is beautiful and we could gomyp to the roof terrace for the view after our meal. The food was fantastic, we got a lot more than what we ourselves made with seven salads and cookies.

Recommended! - Super fun cooking workshop. First we get the meat from the Souk and then we make our own tagines and salads. We ate our homemade food on the roof terrace. Because we had the workshop in January (low season) we had a private workshop, what a luxury! There was a beautiful view of the entire Medina from the roof terrace. I recommend this workshop.

Wonderful Immersive Experience! - We first identified this cooking class through a highly positive and detailed review on a travel blog. The high expectations that were set were certainly met. Before and after signing up, the restaurant was highly responsive by email to respond to our questions and for clarifications. Upon arrival, Mohammed guided our party of 4 (including 2 college-age sons) through the souk to choose the proteins and introduce us to spices and starches. We returned to the cooking classroom to find additional ingredients and utensils, at stations for each one of us, already prepped for the next stage of our hands-on class. Together with chef Fatima, he provided and translated instructions in English, along with history, culture and styles of food preparation. The class was light, educational and fun. We relaxed on a few snacks as the recipes continued to cook and then we enjoyed the dinners we had prepared; more than enough for each person to eat and share. Best of all, we didn’t have to worry about cleaning up our food prep and dishes! A memorable hands-on experience!
