The cooking class will be held at Palais Bab Sahra, a traditional Moroccan palace in the heart of the medina, near the central square of the Blue Gate. The day starts with a shopping trip to a local souk in the bustling city of Fez.
You can learn to cook a variety of dishes, with the most popular among tourists being different types of tagine (such as chicken tagine with olives, meat and vegetable tagine, meat and prunes), various couscous dishes (like couscous with meat and vegetables, couscous with raisins and onions), and pastilla (chicken pastilla). At the end of the lesson, a variety of salads, seasonal fruits, and Moroccan tea are served along with the dishes prepared during the class. Mineral water is also provided.

At the food stall, we’ll select the freshest ingredients, including meats, vegetables, and fruits. With our groceries in tow, we’ll return to the restaurant for some serious cooking. Aprons on, everyone! During the class, we’ll explore various versions of the classic tajin dish, a cornerstone of Moroccan cuisine. From chicken and olives to meat and plums, and even experimenting with different types of couscous! Naturally, we’ll enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Moroccan tea, and we’ll also learn the art of making it! Once everything is prepared, we’ll sit down to savor a well-earned meal! Accompanied by a fresh salad and seasonal fruit, expect one of the finest meals you’ll experience in Morocco—the one you crafted yourself!
