Merzouga Desert - The 3-day desert tour to Marrakech begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your accommodation in Fes. The journey heads south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, renowned for its cool climate, snow, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” The tour continues to the Cedars Forest, home to the Barbary Macaques, where visitors can feed them while exploring the forest. The next stop is Midelt for lunch. The journey then proceeds to the Sahara Desert, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River.
Upon arrival at the Merzouga Sahara Desert, travelers switch to camels to traverse the sandy landscape. A stop is made to witness the enchanting sunset atop a high dune. The day concludes at the desert camp, where guests can enjoy Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under a starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Dades Gorges - Rise early to admire the stunning sunrise in the heart of the desert. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. Depart the desert to visit Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, which remains a key trading hub with a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
After exploring the Rissani Souk, the tour continues to Erfoud to visit a fossilized marble workshop. The journey proceeds through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a magnificent canyon through the mountains, creating towering red cliffs ideal for rock climbing. Visitors can explore the gorges and admire the breathtaking scenery. Lunch is enjoyed at a local restaurant. The tour then continues to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, with a stop at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. Overnight stay in Dades.

Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

Marrakech - After breakfast, the journey continues to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley, where an annual Rose Festival in May showcases local rose products, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. The tour then travels through the palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, where visitors can tour the film studios where famous movies were filmed.
The next destination is the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage Site, featured in numerous films such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as TV series like Game of Thrones. The journey continues to Marrakech, traversing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the stunning High Atlas Mountains, with stops for lunch and photo opportunities at scenic locations. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. End of the tour.
