- Hierapolis & Pamukkale - After picking you up, we travel through traditional Turkish villages, stopping for breakfast on our way to Pamukkale. The entire journey, including stops, takes about 4 hours. Our guide will take you to explore Hierapolis, established as a healing center in Pamukkale and recognized as one of Turkey’s most remarkable natural wonders. While there is no recorded history of Hierapolis before the Hellenistic Era, it is known that a city existed prior to that time. The name Hierapolis is derived from its Mother Goddess Cult.
The main attraction is a vast white cliffside with scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls, resembling snow, clouds, or cotton balls. During your free time, you can visit the museum or swim in the Roman pool, also known as Cleopatra’s Pool. The water is warm and is believed to be beneficial for heart and circulatory issues. After lunch, we will visit a handicraft center or onyx factory on our return journey.
