This experience includes a delightful, creamy reindeer meat soup, prepared by us and served in a cozy, traditional Sámi hut. Guests can warm themselves by the fire and enjoy the soup with homemade hot berry juice while waiting for the northern lights to make an appearance.
Although the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, guests will still have the chance to get close to the reindeer, delve into Sámi culture, and try their hand at “suopunki” throwing – the traditional lasso technique used to catch reindeer.
The activity is situated about 1 kilometer from Ivalo Airport and 10 kilometers from the center of Ivalo, with transportation available (maximum of eight people).
Transportation can also be arranged from Saariselkä or Inari for an additional fee of 45 € per person. If transportation is needed from Saariselkä or Inari, please contact us in advance.
