Additional Information

Join the esteemed guide, author, and historical researcher Richard Falconer on a prize-winning exploration of St Andrews.

St Andrews is a globally distinctive and intriguing place. Known as the Birthplace of Golf and host to Scotland’s earliest University, St Andrews has been a dynamic hub for more than a millennium. This vibrancy culminated in the ebb and flow of the Cathedral precincts, representing a significant Catholic authority outside of Rome itself in Europe for over four centuries - and the potential that their treasures still remain!

You’ll learn about the origins of St Andrews, its university, and monarchy ranging from the Pictish Kings to Mary Queen of Scots and Prince William. Moreover, you’ll gain insights into golf’s legacy at the Old Course.

St Andrews truly offers a rich tapestry of history and culture. You can uncover all of it on this enlightening and reflective tour as you meander through its emblematic historical districts.

Good Overview of St. Andrews and a Fun Walk! - Good tour with good historical information. Unfortunately my friend wasn't in very good shape and we had to end our participation after about 1.5 hours so she could rest. This was really NOT a strenuous trip, however. We covered a lot of ground, saw a lot and there were two additional participants who were pleasant. Good and fun guide by the name of Richard.
