Small group, intimate experience

Duration: 3 hours
Cancellation: 24 hours
Highlights
  • VG3R+3F Coolangatta - Between May and November each year, over 30,000 Humpback whales migrate from their summer feeding grounds in Antarctica to the warm waters of the tropics and the Great Barrier Reef. The Tweed/Gold Coast is an ideal location to witness these whales as they swim close to the shore along our coastline.

“Wardjam”—Bundjalung for “Dolphin”—is a fast and stable, purpose-built whale watching vessel with comfortable seating for 12 guests. Our boat is perfect for quickly and safely reaching the whales for an intimate encounter with a small group. Listen to their incredible songs with our onboard hydrophone and learn about Humpback behavior from our onboard marine biologist. We often encounter other marine species such as dolphins, turtles, and migratory birds in addition to the whales. If no whales are sighted, you are welcome to join the next tour free of charge, but with so many whales migrating, this rarely happens!
