You don't want to miss this one! - Would highly recommend this experience to everyone! I have ridden all my life and went with my friend who has only ridden once or twice and we both equally enjoyed it. We were picked outside our hotel in Hersonissos by Gregor who was hilarious and taken to the farm. Gregor even stopped a couple of times on route to feed some stray animals he looks after and it was lovely to see this. When we arrived at the farm we were offered a drink straight away and got riding helmets. Gregor then gave a demonstration of riding basics and we were all given a horse based on experience and ability. There were about 8 in the group in total. We then headed in a group up the side of the mountain. It was a nice concreted road and therefore an easy ride and the horses were all well behaved. When we got to the top, we stopped and had some juice and fresh watermelon. 3 of us went for a gallop while the rest of the group stayed behind, the gallop was on a sandy track and we galloped up, walked back and repeated this again. I wouldn't recommend the gallop for non-horse riders or those with limited experience but if you know how to ride it is amazing! We then headed back down the mountain and had a lovely lunch with produce from the farm (vegetarian option was available) and were then returned back to our hotel. I would suggest wearing long trousers and lots of Suncream! All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and the horses were all well loved and cared for.

Wonderful Tour - Such a lovely experience. The staff (especially our guide Hassan) were very knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. They matched riders to horses well and allowed experienced riders more free rein. The lunch was so authentic and fresh and was such a wonderful and immersive Greek experience.

Horseback riding - After a short introduction to horseback riding we rode very relaxed on a mountain. We were always accompanied and for Beginners it was perfect. The highlight was the homemade food at the end. Very nice people very dear animals and overall it was highly recommended.

Very welcoming - This was very enjoyable. The staff are so nice and make you feel welcome. It was relaxed. The horses appeared well looked after. I cannot ride and we were asked about our ability right at the start (my horse was called Margaret Thatcher!) Lunch was lovely. I went alone and got picked up and dropped off right outside the hotel. I also thought the price was very reasonable ❤️🐴🐎

Horse riding and lunch - Gregory and his family are lovely, funny, warm and welcoming; they work hard to tailor the experience to suit a mixed group.

Great all round experience! - My family and I had a lovely experience at Finikia, the horses are great, very calm and easy to handle! The hosts Irene and Godfrey are also great and Godfrey’s humour is an added bonus! The ride itself is relatively easy, so ideal for beginners and the meal at the end of the ride is a must! Great experience and will definitely return if we visit Crete again…which i am sure we will!
