Fantastic experience! - My first time to board on a wooden boat..got scary cuz the first one we got onto had a problem...and so the cruise was delayed. The staff on the boat and at the counter were helpful. They managed to change the date of our reservation but didnt read their message so we went ahead with the original booking. The staff at the counter assisted us and manages to issue us tickets. We got on the boat! We gad fun!

A Marvelous Santorini Excursion - A wonderful cruise excursion. Seeing the volcano which had such an impact was awe-inspiring. And relaxing in the hot springs was perfect. Kudos to the friendly, professional crew.

Okay - It was okay. Hiking the volcano was fine, not much interaction with any guides though. Hit springs were not that hot but warm.

An afternoon adventure worth it - Firstly it’s totally worth it to get out on the water, hike up to Volcano (hard hike in heat for seniors and those out of shape) and swim in the hot springs cove for only 25 euro. We didn’t want a 125 plus euro, 6 hour booze cruise and food, just an afternoon adventure. You will disappointed if your expectations are flowing lava and hottub temperature hot springs. The “hot” springs are just warmer water created by the sulphur bubbling up in the cove. The strong swimmer warning is most likely for people who really don’t know how to swim as you can’t touch the bottom until you get in the cove. It’s an easy swim especially with the noodles! It’s a great afternoon compared to walking shoulder to shoulder with hoards of cruise ship people. We did the 2:30 sailing and there was a long line up at the cable car (cruise ship folks heading home!) so walked down. The donkey poo is dried up and swept, it’s not like tons of fresh stinking piles of it. If you’ve been to a barn before you’ll be fine. Took us about 20 minutes, fairly monotonous down steps (bad knees might be an issue). On way back it was 5:30pm and empty (cruise people all at first sitting of dinner on board!) first ones in line and up. It was a fun experience for my wife and I 62 and 60 (we had just come from the morning chaos of Oia, so a nice change of pace).

Very disappointed!! - When you stop at the volcano be prepared for a 30 min up and 30 min down hike on very steep and gravel path. You have to pay 5 eur/person and you decide not to go on the hike, there is nothing at the pier. Our give was a very young person with basic knowledge of the volcano and practically didn’t give much information. Next stop is the thermal, beautiful waters, but there is no peer so people that can’t swim very well can’t enjoy it either.

Too windy and no accommodation - We caught the first tender off our ship, but weather was a factor and, due to high winds, the cruise tender was running a few minutes late. I texted the operator beginning at 10:35, when we realized that we would be cutting it close as the ship needed to depart right at 11 o’clock due to Port Authority rules We pulled into the port at 10:51 for the 11 o’clock excursion, but were not able to dock until 11:01. As it turned out, we couldn’t dock because we were awaiting for the same dock as the tour boat, so we missed it by default. Meanwhile, we were told that we could either reschedule for at 2:30 that same day or the following day. As we were on a cruise, we were sailing out of Santorini and needed to be on board by 5 o’clock, and the following day was not an option. I understand the guidelines for requesting a refund by 24 hours prior, but during that window, the winds had not yet picked up and no delays were anticipated. I requested an accommodation by Viator to have a credit for a future excursion, but none was given. All in all, a very disappointing (and expensive - $140!!) Viator experience for all of us.
