A Thrilling Start on Land

The day began with a sense of excitement as I joined a small group for the 4x4 safari adventure. Our guide, a local with an infectious passion for Antigua, led us through the island’s southern part. The ride was bumpy, but the views were worth every jolt. We traversed the lush Fig Tree Drive, where the jungle seemed to whisper secrets of the island’s rich flora and fauna. The crew’s energy was infectious, and the open bar added to the lively atmosphere. We sailed along the west coast, with the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches providing a stunning backdrop.

Lunch was served on board, and while the chicken was a hit, the lobster left something to be desired. But the food was secondary to the camaraderie and the joy of being out at sea. As the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I felt a deep sense of contentment.
