This tour is a bit more somber than our usual ones. Experience the spirit of early settlers, both men and women, while strolling the historic downtown streets. Listen to stories of ghostly apparitions, nefarious culprits and past calamities, all shared by a quirky and spectral guide. Flagstaff, Arizona started as a small, unassuming railway village at the foot of Mount Humphries. Despite odds, it has blossomed and is now a place filled with spirits, rather than being a deserted ghost town. Get acquainted with John Weatherford, the peculiar creator of both the Orpheum Theatre and the renowned Weatherford Hotel. Appreciate the late Dr. Raymond, a much-loved town doctor, who built his residence and clinic on Leroux Street. The 1926 rail station and Hotel Monte Vista are not only historically significant – both structures are reputed for strange activities. Shudder at the chilling tale of Marie Walkup and her slain children that took place during the town’s 1937 peak period. And marvel at the 1988 court case in which the Skin Walker defense held sway.
