- Lærdalstunnelen - This tunnel holds the title of the longest road tunnel in the world. Spanning 24.5 kilometers (approximately 15.2 miles), your guide will entertain you with intriguing facts and stories.
As the bus travels through, it descends to a depth of up to 1,400 meters (about 4,593 feet) beneath the mountain, offering a remarkable journey.
- Borgund Stave Church - You’ll have the chance to take photos of the world’s most distinctive and best-preserved stave church. We will stop in front, allowing you to capture images of the exterior.
It’s incredible that this church remains standing strong after 800 years, especially considering it’s entirely made of wood.
- Laerdalsoyri - Wander through streets lined with charming, colorful wooden houses dating back to the 1700s and 1800s.
Lærdalsøyri is recognized as a national “heritage village” and is home to 161 wooden houses that once served as a vital trading hub between the east and west of Norway.
It’s a place rich in history, and you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into another world as you explore this quaint village.
- Sekundær Fylkesvei 243 - Immerse yourself in the raw, untamed nature. As you explore Aurlandsfjellet, breathe in the crisp, clean air.
One of the highlights is the captivating waterfall and lake atop the mountain plateau. During the peak of summer, you can enjoy wild berries and may encounter grazing sheep in this pristine setting.
With the possibility of snow year-round, Aurlandsfjellet is aptly named the ‘Snowy Road.’
- Stegastein Lookout - For photographers, Stegastein is a dream come true. The Stegastein viewing platform offers a stunning, unobstructed view over the UNESCO-listed Aurlandsfjord.
