One of the highlights is the Flåmsbana Museum, dedicated to the renowned Flåm railway, which you can explore after the tour. Your adventure begins with a drive through Gudvangen to the Stalheim Hotel.
- Stalheimskleiva - The next stop is the historic Stalheim Hotel, with roots in Norway’s postal service dating back to 1647. The hotel and its terrace are closed from late September to May, but an alternative viewpoint nearby is accessible with a short walk up a moderately steep path.
- Stalheimsfossen - For hiking enthusiasts, there’s an option to hike down the Stalheimskleiva road (currently closed to vehicles due to an avalanche, but open for walking), offering views of the Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls.
- Gudvangen - After enjoying the waterfalls, the journey continues to the ancient Viking Town of Gudvangen, where the stunning Nærøyfjord begins, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can extend your stay in Gudvangen by visiting the Viking Town of Njardarheimr, where you can meet modern-day Vikings and learn about their history and culture. This visit is optional, and the entrance fee is not included (adults: 20 EUR / 22 USD, children: 10 EUR / 11 USD). Alternatively, you can opt for more stops to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the western fjords.
- Stegastein Lookout - From Gudvangen, your guide will drive you to the Stegastein viewpoint, situated 2130 feet (650 m) above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the Aurlandsfjord.
- Flåm - From the Stegastein viewpoint, the tour descends to Aurland, the local administrative center, and returns to Flåm, where the tour concludes.
The entire tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours.

You will first stop at Stalheim hotel to enjoy the view of the stunning Nærøydalen valley, then walk up close to the Stalheimsfossen waterfall, before coming to the charming village of Gudvangen.
In Gudvangen you can to witness the gorgeous Nærøyfjord – one of the two UNESCO World Heritage fjords. Here you can also visit a real modern day Viking Town (optional).
After Gudvangen, on to the famous Stegastein viewpoint above the Aurlandsfjord. A thrilling ride on a hairpin turn road takes you to an elevation of 640 meters / 2099 feet above sea level. The view is stunning!
Duration of the tour: approx. 4.5 hours. You may choose to visit the Viking town or have more time on our scheduled stops to soak up the natural beauty of the western fjords.
