Skip the line, skip the guide - A perfect visit to the gallery that houses so many works of art. There were many guided tours while there. Glad we didn’t opt for the guides.

Super fast access - If you want to waste your day standing in long queues, then don't bother with this option but if you want to enjoy all the delights of the gallery then I would definitely recommend this option.

Convenient if you’re without tickets - The Accademia is worth seeing - this is more about this specific ticket experience. For us, all tickets were sold out far in advance. We waited in the standby line for half an hour moving a bit up, but ultimately booked this. If you book this, read the pickup instructions carefully as this is not a ticket itself. It feels like these type of resale tickets buy up a lot of the spots available to regular people and sell them for a higher price as a “convenience” — but I’m not sure how true that is. The person that met us answered the phone quickly when we couldn’t find the meeting spot, and was clearly working hard. Ultimately worth it for us, but you pay the price vs standby line — though it was cheaper than many other sellers that were scalping tickets in person in the standby line on a busy Saturday.

We learned so much! - Our tour time was switched the day before to an earlier hour but that was fine with us. The meet up was a little confusing with many participants but was sorted out quickly. Our guide, Ruby, was wonderful! She explained the history of the renaissance and Medicis in Florence. Highly knowledgeable about the art, sculptures and artifacts of medieval times. Seeing the work of Michelangelo and learning about his life was life-changing.
